What if hopkins were to put on 20lbs to challenge the freak show himself for the WBA title. Who would you have winning?
Excuse the typo. I meant to write, A draw at the end.
Hopkins will definitely outbox Valuev but he can get knocked out if Valuev lands a blow that hits him flush. Valuev is very big so the size will definitely matter in this fight.
Hopkin is useless Calzaghe ran rings around him and he had to fake a low blow to stay in the fight. A win over a greenhorn Pavlik doesn't mean anything, the old man is done.
Rofl.
I'm from Britain, and i dont look at background or race. It's pathetic.
I'll say the Brit fans are worst than American fans, and that's saying something.

valuev by KO.
valeuv is underrated now because of his shit performance against holyfield. he didnt want to fight him and it showed during the fight.
Holyfield has been losing to everyone with a pulse as of late, and if you call yourself a champion and have a close fight with Holyfield -- let alone lose to Holyfield--, who is shot to hell. then you have no business fighting.
What about all of his SHIT performances prior to Holyfield?!? His entire career is nothing but shit performances. SMH, worst heavyweight champ EVER
still a heavyweight though.
Guys come on. Holyfield beat Valuev clearly, and had him confused with movement and angles, and Hokyfield has never been known for movement or angles, and is completely shot to shit. Hopkins would only have to throw 20 punches a round land 95 percent of them and tip toe out of the way to avoid the slow ass Zangief. I honestly think it would be ridiculously easy.
I don't think Hopkins has ever fought an opponent bigger than him. He only fights smaller opponents (Pavlik, Winky, Tito, Oscar, etc). He would never get in the ring with a big monster like Valiev. Hopkins dosen't even want to get in the ring with the bigger, stronger Tomasz Adamek, he gave him a horrible low ball offer because he never wanted to fight him.
Valuev by KO
either has valuev. 2 cheaters.
Weight is only part of the equation.
You also have to factor in reach and height.
Kelly and Bernard both have a 75" reach.
But Kelly is the taller man, at nearly 6'3", where Bernard is 6'1".
Kelly's shoulders are also much broader than Hopkins', which means he likely won't be at 160 for very much longer.
And once he starts fighting and winning at 168 or 175, this whole "moving up" shit will be debunked, at least, when it comes to Kelly/'Nard.
In general, fight fans make too much out of a difference of a few pounds.
Winky and Oscar, yeah, I can see that.
But Pavlik was at 170lbs, just 4lbs north of where he beat Taylor in the remach at a catchweight of 166.
plus you have to factor in the white boy factor
lol....j/k
This fight would have to be in the US cos Hopkins has pretty much no chance in germany, even though I don't think Valuev-Holyfield was a robbery, I had it for Holyfield by a couple of rounds. Hopkins would just need to be busier than Holyfield was and he would win a decision although I would question whether he could be much busier at his age with having to put on the extra weight for this bout also.
Still Valuev is garbage so I would have to go with Hopkins via Decision.
Funny how the only people who voted for Valuev are the psychotic and sad Klitschko fans. Guess they need to support their white fighter.
Oh, and Hopkins would humiliate Valuev.
Hopkins would get killed. He'd use his great countering ability to slip most of Valuev's shots but he'd not be able to do anything with the opportunities, he's not fleet-footed enough to get in, land his own shots and get out without eating a Valuev bodyshot. He'd also be unable to stop Valuev clinching; he'd be a natural lightweight with a massive heavyweight leaning on him.
Hopkins is awesome, but his style has limitations and facing a long-armed, hard-hitting heavyweight, is one of them.
i believe pavlik was like 171 on fight night while hopkins was 181

Pavlik came in at 175 on fight night, Hopkins was 180. More or less the same size, and Pavlik is a bit taller.
18 of Hopkins' 20 Middleweight title defenses were against guys his own size.
Antonio Tarver and Kelly Pavlik were bigger than Bernard Hopkins on fight night.
Joe Calzaghe was Hopkins' size.
You fail.
