You couldn't be more wrong. Manny wasn't half the fighter he became around the Oscar/Hatton/Cotto fights. Did he beat an ATG, and in super impressive fashion, of course. But would the new and improved version of Manny that got a right hook beat MAB even worse, not even up for debate.
Are you kidding me right now? And no, his win over MAB wasn't better than his 2 round massacre of Hatton. He was almost flawless in every aspect of boxing, and looked like an actual machine.
He beat him worse, but couldn't stop him in the second fight? Ok buddy.
True, but IMO, his best ever performance was the Hatton fight at 140. He had everything in that fight, and that was truly his Tyson/Spinks moment.
His best performance was against Barrera at 126 and it's not up for debate.
Lomachenko has a chance of outslicking him but manny was a beast and tough to deter. I'll go with Manny in a close fight
don't think so. manny had good wins before and after the floyd lost and even landed the much cleaner punches against floyd while floyd struggled to land clean. manny had no chance on the cards of course but floyd knew that and thats why he agreed to fight the boxer version of pac and not the psycho cotto version of pac. oscar had zero craft left at that point in his career. size doesnt matter when you are shot.
Do you think Jeff Horn beat Manny anyways?
and Delahoya has More craft than Manny did, and more craft than Manny ever will since Manny isn't really a crafty boxing guy.
Delahoya won more rounds than Manny did by the way.
Mayweather is one of the hardest working boxers the modern era will ever see.
Let me know when another boxer leaves their promoter to self promote, train hard, and still rake in millions of dollars well into their late 30s.
Naseem Hamed? The one going life and death with Kevin Kelly? Lomachenko is good but he'll need to outclass guys like Garcia or Crawford. Not an old, small inactive guy most thought he would beat.
manny beat both horn and floyd. yes a prime hoya was a crafty boxer. that wasnt prime oscar in there. wasnt prime floyd in there either so it doesnt matter that much that pac outpointed him and landed the much cleaner punches in at least 7 rounds. he was never going to get the decision having good defense and sharp punches. people gave floyd that fight on reputation and nothing more. we can post the videos again if you like but it doesnt really matters since floyd wasnt prime in that fight. during his prime he was fighting guys like baldomir and judah. pac was fighting guys like barrera, morales, and marquez. he knew when to make the fights that would get him that shiny record and he tried to make up for it at the end with big old names.
but you said Horn beat Manny......
did you forget jeff horn is an active boxer? he has the same win that is floyds best win.
Sven Ottke lol great stuff.
Delahoya was a better win at that point in time. Pacquiao was looking awful for years before the Mayweather bout.
nah delahoya was trash. one win in what 4 years and it was mayorga. never did anything after losing to floyd. thats the problem with floyd. all his best wins are like that cept canelo but he should have just lost but hes a moneymaker so we know how that goes. floyd just doesnt have a great win on his resume unfortunately. so overrated. he does remind me of ottke
Pacquiao was more trash than Delahoya at that point in their careers. Delahoya had size and boxing ability and Floyd was smaller, even. Manny had zero chance
Salido retired. Lomachenko has bigger fish to fry despite the loss.
That'd be like Manny Pacquiao going after Singsurek or whoever that was that KO'd him.
he just isn't as god as advertised. he isn't that versatile besides his hard left hand and excellent footwork. But it's easy to do circles around punching bags.
