He doesn't need to fight anymore, he's plenty wealthy. Besides, where would he go from here? After the scripted match where he carried Mike Tyson, and his jaw being shattered against a real prime HW, what else is there? If that jaw gets broken again he'll be eating through a straw for a long time.
Davis and Shakur should not be permitted to duck each other based on friendship. If they were to both hold titles at 140 they should be mandated to unify or give up the belt. Or Davis should be mandatory for Shakur's title.
If he really wants to be undisputed he should do it at 130. He is a small 135 and his reflexes are slowing down. Not as much money or glory at 130 but he'll achieve his goal of undisputed easier at 130 IMO.
This is the second time he's gone broke. First time he owed millions in back taxes. Didn't learn his lesson after losing over a $60 million fortune. He should make a fight with "About Broke" Broner, loser pays the other guys debt, has to be the houseboy for the winner for one year. Turn it into a reality show.
Fury doesn't have the reflexes and mobility that carried him through the Wilder fights. He still gets hit a lot, and Joshua is still a dangerous puncher. If they are going to make this fight I hope it's this year. I don't want to see two completely faded former champs slugging it out until one collapses from exhaustion.
You know you're listening to a frightened fraud when someone says they'll beat the shyt out of someone and then never makes an effort to fight them. Shakur runs his mouth but never makes a serious effort to fight these opponents. He has two decent wins on his resume and refuses to step up against any of the biggest names. It's all clout chasing. He's also not a "beat the shyt" out of anyone type of fighter. He wins boring decisions on his bicycle. Now he's mad because he can't secure a $15 million payday like Benn.
It's a fact that Marquez was a lightweight prior to fighting Floyd
It's a fact Floyd also welched on the agreed upon catchweight
With a whole division of welterweights who was calling him out, Floyd only heard a Lightweight
Hopefully Floyd's run of flim flam scam cherrypicking is over and never returns
Marquez came up almost three weight classes to fight him while drinking his own urine. When he fought Manny for the 4th time he was roided up by Heredia, the most notorious cheater in the sport.
Just about everyone aside from hardcore fangirls know Floyd avoided the best fighters at their best. Never fight an elite level opponent at their best. He admits he marinated the Pacquiao fight for five years and deserved credit for being smart because he waited and made it a bigger fight. He was the one ducking with excuses all along.
Now he is broke and literally crying like a b1tch because he couldn’t read the contract he signed and begging Netflix to let him off the hook. Not sure who is worse, him or his below 65 IQ fans.
--------------------
The opposite is the truth. Manny DUCKED Floyd for 5 years straight. Where was Manny from 2005 to 2010? Why didn't he call Floyd out then?
Two, with the catch weight demand against guys like Cotto, Margarito, Marquez and Algieri, you know very well that Manny would have demanded a catch weight to fight Floyd.
Floyd insisted he deserved credit for being smart by marinating the fight for five years. He ducked and stalled and waited for Manny to lose a step. Falsely accused him of PED use and got sued. Then got caught with an illegal IV to mask his own steroid use. He’s a fraud and now he’s breading a contract because he is too scared to risk his 0.
Not surprised. Floyd ducked Manny for years (even admitted to "marinating" the fight for 5 years), so why should now be any different? But how dumb can he be that he didn't know he signed a contract for a real fight and not an exhibition? No wonder he's broke now. All that money he should have learned how to read.
We will never know how these matchups would have played had they happened for Jermell. But where do you think this kind of ducking behavior stems from?
It's the Mayweather effect. Especially with PBC fighters who were all afraid to lose the zero in the loss column. Once he suffered his first loss against a B level opponent he was reluctant to take any more risks until he was able to cash out against Canelo. He didn't want to risk losing that big payday.
After his cash-out fight with Canelo he quietly slipped into an unofficial retirement. He didn't want any part of Crawford who was breathing down his neck and he had already ducked the Tszyu fight which in hindsight he probably could have won. I don't think he wanted anything to do with Fundora or Thurman either seeing how he struggled with Castano. He was never a top tier fighter.
Chisora has two decent wins in the last two years. But he's 42, good chance he could have aged out given it's been over a year since his last fight. They are about evenly matched right now.
Stevenson demanded a catchweight, he wasn't serious about challenging Ryan, he was clout chasing. Haney signed to fight Rolly but my guess is he and Ryan are on a collision course for a rematch at sometime. Teo isn't a bad fight. He might be more comfortable at 147. There's no money in Curiel. He's not a household name.
It's not unreasonable to suspect Margarito was cheating prior to the Mosley fight. While there isn't legal evidence that he cheated versus Cotto, his performance in the rematch was a complete 180.
———-
So at 147, who should he be fighting? The same guys Manny is fighting perhaps? Rolly, Crocker, Garcia, Devin?
Also, he is 49 years old. You expect a 49 year old to compete with guys that are 20 years younger than him?
Looking like Manny after Floyd's exhibition with Tyson. I can't imagine it would be any more compelling than their fight in 2015 which was like watching paint dry.

It was a good win for Ryan. All the Haney clingers trying to discredit Barrios. Meanwhile, Barrios landed 19 more punches on Ryan than Haney did. Only went down once and not three times.
Floyd has a long history of retiring and then coming out of retirement. All of those retirements were used to duck other opponents. Now he's desperate for money and will follow the same pattern while he was in his prime. Fight very careful opponents to eliminate any real risk of losing.
His coming out of retirement was predictable. He spends money like a drunken sailor and has a gambling problem. Wouldn't surprise me if he owes back taxes. He is trying to sue Haymon for money he thinks was hustled from him. If he knew how to read he could have read the fine print of the contracts he signed. Or found someone who could.
I like Barrios, but I think he is going to struggle with Ryan's hand speed and footwork. If Ryan enters the ring in top condition and focused he wins this in a one-sided contest.
There is nothing to like about this fraud. Women's boxing in general has a very shallow talent pool. She has little to no punch power, she fights stiffs, and has zero charisma or likeability. Arrogant and ugly inside and out. Add delusional to the mix and she's fairly typical as a modern fighter. Ann Wolfe would have sparked her out.
Always difficult to call a fight like this with long layoffs involved. Keith had a tune-up in 2025 coming off another 3-year layoff. Now he's coming off one year of inactivity at age 37. If he can stay on the inside without getting caught by a big uppercut I think he can outwork Fundora. He just can't stay on the end of Fundora's long reach.
I hear he wants to have an exhibition against a kickboxer nobody heard of. If this in fact does come to truth, Mayweather fans indicating Pacquiao was broke and fighting CHAMPIONSHIP boxers at 45 years old for the money need to keep that same energy.
Kind of funny Mayweather brings all this up 10 years after the fact and Pacquiao was even part of one of his biggest pay hauls. Funny how his team never noticed they were cheated all this kinds of money too. So only the folks around Mayweather's teams are the crooks? It took them 10 years later to notice? lol
Not just that, but if Floyd was cheated out of a share of purse money from the May/Pac fight, then it would stand to reason that Manny was cheated too? Haven't seen any lawsuits from Manny about this.
Did he agree to these fees before fighting for the title? If so, he owes them money. I don't like the absorbent fees but if a fighter signed a contract agreeing to them, he needs to honor his agreement.
One can only hope Wilder gets brutally KO'd into retirement. He is a deranged, racist, hateful individual with the IQ of a tree stump. He should not be walking around as unhinged as he is.
Eventually, although I expect we'll hear Bill Haney claiming he "brings nothing to the table" for a while yet and there will inevitably be some ridiculously protracted negotiation as there always is when two elite Americans need to fight each other.
My concern is they will put this fight on ice for so long that it approaches it's expiration date, similar to Crawford/Spence. Skakur and Keyshawn have already taken a stance against fighting each other, and Haney doesn't appear to be in any hurry to take on any big risks since he was exposed by Ryan.
Davis is the #1 contender for Shakur's title. If they avoid each other out of friendship it's a duck by both fighters. No one is questioning why Shakur hasn't fought any ranked black fighters yet.
