Rigo needs to STFU and do something with his career. Sitting back at 122 and doing nothing....Then using the excuse that this guy and that guy won't fight me....
Loma wants a challenge. Rigo does not.
making fighters weigh in the night of the fight doesn't make sense. what are you gonna do if they don't make weight, call off the fight and send a couple thousand people home?
I agree....bottom line is that when asked, the fighters make weight.
I think Floyd is as big as Castillo and Hatton. Hatton simply balloons in weight. He pigs out between fights and weight is gained on him. Floyd may also pig out, but his metabolism and body type may be different and he just does not gain the weight Hatton does, Every person is different and this applies to not just boxers. I do believe that if one fighter comes in 12-13lbs heavier on fight night than the divisions weight, and the other comes in 3-4 lbs heavier, it can have an impact for the positive and the negative. Maybe coming in and gaining so much weight in such a short space of time can actually work against you, make you ponderous and sluggish
Though the fight between Gatti and Gamanche showed that Gatti had a huge advantage. He weighed a lot more come fight night than Gamanche and it showed. But Gatti too was naturally a bigger bigger man than Gamanche...
I agree. Mayweather didn't generate the cash, OSCAR did and Mosley will not generate the cash either. Hatton is the man who sold 11000 tickets to fans who travelled 5000 miles. Hatton is the attraction. A brilliant Englishman with character, likeability and he is white. If that's not a seller, I don't know what is. And before anyone comes on board with the whole RACE issue. It's just an opinion. I couldn't care if he was black, white, green or yellow, but I think it still factors in the world of sport
I couldn't care how many divisions Floyd went up. He's a ten stone fighter at best and this is his peak weight. So winning at other weights and looking very ordinary is no indicator as to why he beats Hatton. At 140/147 Hatton has the tools to beat Floyd. He has the stamina, chin, body attack and relentless pressure to give Floyd big problems. If Castillo almsot beat Floyd, then Hatton I feel wears him down, closes the gap and smothers Floyd all night while breaking him up on the inside. Does anyone believe Hatton will allow Floyd to lay back on the ropes and mess like Oscar allowed him?
Of them all Duran is simply number 1. He does everything they do, but hits harder and has a better defense. He's also so very rugged and strong. The best chnce to beat Duran is with Pryor because Pryor was so busy and hit quite hard with a good chin. Mosley at peak was devesatating and beats all but Duran, next is Oscar who is a whisker behind Mosley but has the speed and style to beat Pryor who was easily hit. I always look at how easy Pryor was hit V Alexis, who was not near as fast or accurate as Oscar, and I believe Oscar has the better chin too....PBF is good, but not tough or busy enough to keep these guys at bay
Yes but PBF is also not a 147lb fighter. Money lured him there just like it lured him to 154. PBF is an inch or two taller at most and IMO he's not a harder hitter or he's not as physically strong as Hatton. Definitely PBF can go to 140lbs and I hope that's the weight they fight at. It's their true peak weight
