Rigo is traying ,good for him but its to late IMO

Rigo is not even top 50 and will never be top 200 all time, dude wasted his time doing nothing, beating Nonito Donarie is not enought o even break the top 200. Why dont these guys criticizing GGG ever take shots at this clown Rigo who barely fights and when he does he fights some weak Cambodian cab driver or filipino ditch digger with multiple losses with no name and goes the distance in a snoozer. Fight was never logistically possible, people need to let it go as unfortunate as it sounds. Rigo is too small, he's probably maxed out at 122 whereas Loma will be moving on u^^^^^That is it. Rigondeaux comes at 125-126 fight night. The fight was only a dream when lomachenko campaigned at 126.

Rigo needs to STFU and do something with his career. Sitting back at 122 and doing nothing....Then using the excuse that this guy and that guy won't fight me.... Loma wants a challenge. Rigo does not.

I love both fighters. I wish we would have gotten to see this fight. Without a doubt it would have been the most pure skill and talent in the ring at the same time. Agreed. So many so called fans just want blood and guts and don't appreciate the artistry of boxing. This would've been an awesome fight and I for one would have enjoyed it.

Why is Rigo even talking? We already have enough information about why this fight didn't happen and it's totally his fault. Rigo kept making one excuse after another. First it was the weight, then it was the money, then the rehydration clause then he wanted a catchweight and it was one thing after another. Whereas Loma just wanted to sign the contract and fight. We have those articles on boxingscene where his manager at the time, Gary Hyde was the one negotiating. So he missed his opportunity and now Loma's profile is so much greater than Rigo's, he also has a better resume, and yes he is the A-side and has no reason to even consider moving back to 126 to fight him. If he wanted Loma, he should've accepted the contract last year. Yes we have enough information and the only thing that stop the fight from happening was Bob Arum and his weak as offer. Every term was agree until Bob send that contract with some laughable numbers. And then Loma move on to fight the worst belt holder of the 130 lbs after taking the VACANT 126 lbs belt from another "never fought anyone" paper champion and will move to 135 to fight most likely Flanagan the worst 135 lbs champ for the once Again Top Rank, sorry WBO belt.

There is no reason for Loma to take this fight. It would be a step backwards. A fight with Rigo is guaranteed to be a stinker. Part of Loma's marketability is that he is exciting to watch. No fighter with that kind of marketing angle wants to be in a stinker. Beating Rigo would mean absolutely nothing to anyone apart from a fringe of Rigo's most rusted on fans. He is old and he is too small. Loma would get no credit. Even worse if he had to lose weight to make the fight. So for Loma: * zero credit (except amongst a deluded fringe) * missed chance to take on a real fight * low paying fight * screwing with going up and down weight * guaranteed stinker; causing: - reduced future marketability - reduced future opportunities - reduced future paypackets The world is Loma's oyster. He is on track to be this generation's greatest, and there are fights which will lift him up there - like Mikey Garcia to begin with. A Rigo fight would be just plain stupid. It's sad to say bc I'm a long time Rigo fan and believe he has/had HOF talent, but he is pretty irrelevant now. I'm not saying what happened to him has been fair but the truth is that he is pretty obscure now. He fights once a year, he's with a terrible promotion team, he hasn't had a relevant fight in almost 5 years and in his chance to renew interest on a big card he fought maybe his worst and most boring fight against an overmatched opponent. He never had a broad enough fan base, I can't see how he can really gain any new ones and he has lost many old ones. im not saying you are wrong...but it doesnt matter rigos name and skill level holds weight amongst the hardcore boxing fans....and always will...as long as hes active and winning....and the hardcore boxing fans are all that matter when you are talking about a rigo/loma matchup for instance..does rigo/loma do less viewers than loma/salido 2? nope...prob about the same...rigos "relevancy" doesnt matter.....casuals aint checking for rigo or loma

Rigo some time ago said he tries but cannot put up weight. Some people really cannot put weight anymore once they reach to a certain mass. I think Rigo is fat as he can be even at 122. He already looks like some 122lbs fitness guy. I also experienced that, skinny people stay as they are. If he gains 2lbs he can't race horses any more.

It was an exciting prospect one time. But that ship has long sailed. I wouldn't be surprised if both fighters knew nothing about their guys having this twitter back and forth.
