Chisora should be able to take this one if he can just avoid getting his clock cleaned.
Arreola would need to rock him early to have a hope.
Arreola having lost to Vitali and Adamek in the space of six months must still be reeling and his inability to finish off Quezada makes it look like he might indeed be shot to **** already.
Chisora on points as I don't think he has the power to stop him
What a load of tripe. Hatton had a greta boxing career and was ultimately destined to lose to the best pound for pound boxers in the world. There's no shame in losing to these two.
If you actually read or listened to hatton's recent statement where he said why he did drugs etc you wouldn't have posted such spurious nonsense.
he said that the TWO defeats had a huge impact on him and sent him on a spiral into depression. he also said the only times he took coke was when was so wasted that he didn't know what was going on and just said "yeah why not?"
Rickey hatton was not a bum, he just had a lot of friends who were bums and he was just an ordinary guy who was a class act in the ring and who liked to unload when he wasn't in training.
Pac Cotto without Cotto having to go on such a crash diet would be a much better fight than margarito cotto.
It's a pretty lazy way of protecting himself though and guaranteeing a decent fight for good money. Can't blame him but with so few good fights would be nice to see him pick on someone for practise.
I'm new on here and as an Englishman I'm not a huge fan of Mayweather or Pacman as they both destroyed our own fatman Hatton. Mayweather clearly has plenty of heart in the ring as seen by his ability to win even with a broken hand etc liek in the 2001 fight with Carlos Hernandez. The fact the Pacquiao Mayweather fight hasn't happened yet is more of a shame for boxing because it's what fans all over the world want to see. Mayweather may be getting bad advice or whatever out of the ring but to say he ducks fights is a bit far. The guy has enough heart and enough talent to take on anyone - here's hoping the big fight will be in 2011
cheers for the welcome, was a little nervous! Realise this is a little off topic but it is about heart. What do Americans think of David Haye? Over here he is recognised as a great puncher who was just too athletic for the cruiserweight but picked the only fight at Heavyweight he could hope to win against a belt holding champ. His ducking of the brothers can be compared to Mayweather and Pacquiao. Combination of wanting the right money, right time, not certain of victory for the first time in a long while.
Kellerman asked Garcia point blank "did you ever consider stopping the fight?", and Garcia said "no, absolutely not".
Based on that answer, I seriously have to question his credentials as a top trainer. He should have stopped it after 9 or 10.........
I think he said that to defend his boxer. If he said, "yeah I thought about it as my man was getting his head beaten in" Margarito would have turned around and probably hit him.
He always has to be seen to have confidence in his fighter.
Realistically though the ref or the physician should have stopped it
