Cotto's decision...wait for winner Pac vs Marg!!

Im a big fan of Cotto, but maybe fighting one of those 2 isnt the best idea. I can see Pacquiao going back down to 147 after the fight anyway. As for Margarito, if he was ever to fight Cotto again and beat him,, i think that will have a big impact on Cotto mentally. Although i would love to see Cotto get some revenge over Margarito. At 154, i see Cotto beating Chavez / Angulo pretty easily...maybe a fight with Cintron, although i think that may well be a routine win aswell. Be great to see him fight Martinez or Williams if either would fight at 154. Also wouldnt mind seeing him fight Berto (if he would move up in weight) or Mosely (if he has anything left in the tank).

So the possible outcomes are... 1. Fighting a Pacquiao that has since he last fought him: Beaten Clottey at 147lb (quite easily and who gave Cotto hell) and Margarito at 151lb (who previously beat him - illegaly or not). - Or 2. Fighting Tony, who just beat the guy (Manny) who buttraped him just a year ago and has already beat him who is now at a more natural weight (yes, I know Tony's carrer is at WW). Hmmm.... If I'm Cotto and Tony wins, I stay away from that fight (even as much as I'd like to see it). If Cotto thinks Tony cheated and he still wins against the guy who embarrassed him, even after they keep a close eye on his wraps. Then he would be even more scared and think that he was beat legally and he'd just get beat up on again. Cotto should only fight Tony if he loses. Whichever one wins, I dunno if Cotto is doing the smart thing here. Maybe he's looking for that last big payday. The guy has been doing other stuff and I believe he has already mentioned retirement and this may be it for him.

Im a very big Cotto fan.. But for some of you to think that Cotto can actually beat Pac is just plain stupid.. Pac beats Cotto everytime.. Pac is still too fast.. and Cotto gets hit way too often.. Cotto doesn't have the tools to beat Pac, he just doesn't. However, he does have the tools to beat Marg. Cotto lost to Marg for tactical reasons that can be rectified, especially with Steward. I would actually favor Cotto over Marg if they fought again.

Personally I enjoy watching Cotto fight because he is a great fighter. IMO, the more time he takes to himself the better (obviously keeping in shape in the interim). Hopefully he can pull off an upset with minimal damage.

Exactly. Cotto was the Champion and He was drained by the challenger and his own promoter. They had no problems facing Clottey at 147, but they knew they were taking away from Cotto when they made come down or no fight. Roach has been quoted and it's common knowledge that HE likes to take away from guys that have an actual chance to upset. So Hell YES, that's the main reason why He lost to Pacquiao beside all the other factors of being out of his game with no corner. Cotto never beats Pac bud Im sorry. I wish he would or could, but he cant. He lost because Pac is too fast for him nothing he can do to change the outcome.

I wouldn't expect any less from his worshipers but this is what happens when you make a champion come down on weight to defend his title. YOU DON'T GET FULL CREDIT! Simple. But, that is you when it comes to Cotto from all the excuses you're making for him.

First of all the rematch will be at 147. After Manny wins the nonsense trinket belt he's not going to stay at JMW. So Cotto is going to have to come down in weight again. Secondly, beating a one legged man is not enough to show you deserve a rematch after getting dominated like he was in the first fight. Cotto should try to establish himself at 154 first or at least show that he is still elite by beating some tougher competition. Thirdly, no one is calling for this rematch and it would just prove how much of a joke Arum is, and waste another of Pac's fights when he doesn't have many more left.

He should wait for Marg and Marg only. Until he proves he's not the same stubborn fighter who suddenly goes moonwalking, he should not face Pac. Marg should be easy work for any top fighter now (I think, but we'll see soon). Cotto has never picked a fighter because "he was easy" and I expect a much better version of Cotto, physically and mentally He's ready to face him now.

I think a rematch with Manny at Cotto's proper wt. will be more competitive and fair to Cotto. its not gonna be competitive. its gonna be bad for Cotto if he face Manny again. fighting in 145 lbs was not the reason Cotto lost. Manny was the better man and the best Boxer in this era. thats the reason Manny won.

Margarito vs cotto would be the best option PAC already ko cotto n margarita did too but there's always that hand wrap scandal... I think I would rather see margarita vs cotto and PAC vs Sergio Martinez Margarito vs cotto would b called "Redemption"
