According to danish public service broadcaster dr.dk there's persistent rumours of WBC supermiddleweight champion Mikkel Kessler being injured.
Kessler is scheduled to fight Allan Green in Herning, Denmark on September 25 in Showtimes Super six tournament, but that fight will be postponed if the dane is injured.
Kessler's promotor Sauerland will hold a pressconference tomorrow.
its so typical of nsb that now everyone is taking a dump on the tourney.
I still enjoy the tourney and bika makes for fun fights. get bika in there and let them go at it.......kessler wasn't winning it anyway
Kessler is out of the super six.
He will not retire, but is expected to return next year, and Sauerland has an agreement, that he can face the super six winner.
No sparring for 9 months, he needs rest (since April).
He will box a game in the spring, and then face the super six winner in the fall...
This blows. This was the best thing in the sport, and it is more of a joke with every fight.
Does it even mean anything anymore? We're probably going to hear next that either Ward or Dirrell are exiting the tourney.
I missed a bit of the press conference perhaps, it seems he is out. He is injured and out for a while it seems. Don't know what will happen with the super 6. Damn shocking news!!
Rumors say it is his eye injuries from the Ward game still affecting his vision.
Danish newspaper (Ekstrabladet) speculates that he will withdraw from the super six, and maybe even retire.
We will now in 15 minutes
can u update this, i was gonna ask for a link to the presser buts its probably all in Danish and/or German
I bet it's his eye injuries.

Sauerland's pressconference has been moved from Herning to Copenhagen. It starts at 12 o'clock CET.
Something is definetely not right.
Crappity crap crap.
Froch is clearly underappreciated. I think if he retires after Abraham beats him people will start to miss him. His fight's are always wars.
Yeah, don't get me wrong, I like Froch. His fight with Pascal is one I've rewatched many a time. But he can be a complete tit at times.
As much as this would normally suck, perhaps it can be reschedule so the Dirrell-Ward fight can happen on the same night... I was pissed that only one doubleheader was going to happen after prelims, but this might salvage that.
