Once they get this 1st homecoming defence out the way in Sheffield, there will be better fights to be had. Obviously they don't want him to lose in his homecoming fight
I still think it will be Bundu personally, but Brandon Rios would be fine. I really hope the Thurman fight does happen, Kell's said he likes him as a fighter in the past
lmao... haha
how can floyds opponent knock him out?
they dont even have the power to hurt him anymore because they are so f@cking tired of chasing him
dont even talk about granpa mosleys power
just telling the truth bra
What you said is not necessarily true. Surely if a fighter is moving backwards, that allows the opponent to put more weight into the punches he's throwing. Mayweather's defence deserves credit for the fact he doesn't get hit with too many power punches.
Have you even watched his last few fights? he's been more than willing to trade on the inside.
One, why would you RT something like that...Two, he said "Run faster Usain"
says the guy with a quote as if there is something wrong with being gay...be consistent.
shouldn't be an issue, it's funny. when kim kardashian got divorced I retweeted a tweet that said "wow it's been a great day for black people, kim k divorced, and the mcrib back at mcdonalds."
I do think Joe Cortez sucked in that fight, seemed like he was very quick to break any clinches.
To compare it to how he was in the Calzaghe/Hopkins fight, he took 2 completely different approaches to each fight.
That's just from a neutral point of view, being not a huge fan of either Floyd or Hatton. To answer the question, I gave Hatton 2 rounds, he did well to win that many since Cortez was so involved.
Mayweather is far superior, but Cortez ruined the fight.
I love watching Fury fight, because I'm literally in tears of laughter every time. He is so ****ing clumsy, that I can't help but laugh. 18-0 whatever, but not surprised the worst promoter in boxing won't let him leave the country.
Good luck ever getting Povetkin or one of the Klitschko's, or even Pulev/Dimitrenko for that matter to fight in England/Ireland you deluded twat. I really don't like Mick Hennessy btw lol.
screw Fury, we have the commentators making us think we have Sugar Ray Robinson and Ray Lamotta in there at the moment instead of Eubank's kid, and some Scottish guy.
Because he has all the talent, yet for someone who has defended a world title 9x, his comp is pretty shocking. Forget the likes of Librado Andrade, he had already had his face jabbed off by Kessler. Johnson is his best win by far.
What's even more annoying is fans typically put the fact he's not fighting the elite on the other persons plate. It's everyone elses fault he's not in the Super Six, it's all Kessler's fault the fight didn't come off. If he's so bothered by not being in the Super Six, then he looks although he could quite easily make the transition to 175 with the likes of Hopkins, Pascal, Dawson, Cloud etc. But he defends against Brinkley, Magee, Mendy and Miranda.
Ward's record will more than likely include wins over Froch and Kessler, so there is no comparison. I'm a Froch fan (far better comp than Bute) but a realist, Ward's style is terrible for Froch. I will be a sceptic until he fights Ward, because so far his reign as "champ" has been a cruise.
Again he looks a pretty complete fighter against the opposition his facing, no denying that. He could have tested that at 175 however, if the comp at 168 isn't avaliable. Also saying "Why would he leave Montreal, when he can make peanuts fighting the fighters he has" just gives even more reason to dislike him as a competitor rather than a fighter.
I probably wouldn't dislike him so much if he wasn't regarded by so many as "no.1 in the division."
I had Kessler winning the whole thing. I was supporting Froch, but didn't think he had much of a chance.
I was fighting the "Abraham is vastly overrated" corner when the tourni was announced, because lots of people were picking him to win, whereas I had never seen much good in him, and saw him struggle against average opponents like Elvin Ayala and Khoren Gevor.
Tbh I didn't know much about Dirrell, apart from a lot of US fans hated him, because they said some of his fights were a disgrace. I knew Ward was good, but wasn't sure if he was ready to take on the best (I couldn't have been more wrong.)
Since Ward beat Kessler, I backed him to win the tournament. I've also been pleasantly surprised by Froch, and still don't think he lost to Dirrell, who didn't start throwing or sitting down on any of his punches until the 9th round.
Ever since the likes of Eubank-Watson, Benn-McClellan & Paul Ingle, fights have been stopped early in the UK.
However Chisora won that fight by 4 rounds on my card. The bodyshots killed Helenius, hope there is a rematch though. I think they'll definitely be slowing down the progress of Helenius.
Marquez should retire. He'll always be known as the guy Pacquiao never quite figured out.
I don't mind if Pacquiao has a tune-up, just want Bob Arum to stop being the biggest twat in boxing, and to stop squabbling with Golden Boy. BOXING RESTS ON THIS YOU MOTHER****ERS!!!!!!
I'm really fickle when it comes to Mayweather. One minute I'll love him, the next I'll absolutely despise him. **** that sounds so much like a one-way homo relationship on my part.
I now think of him more as the Mario Balotelli of boxing. Ultra talented, but comes out with a lot of things that really wind me up. Like he actually believes that there is no disputing he's the greatest fighter ever.
Fury fights are ****ing hilarious to watch, always clumsy as hell. The ref was just waiting to jump in, even from the 1st knockdown. Robbed us of what could have been an even better fight.
However to say Pajkic wasn't legit knocked down, or legit hurt in the 3rd is ridiculous. I think a rematch would be great for Fury. He's not going to find an opponent he can learn more from at this level than Pajkic. Hennessy would do well to keep Tyson well away from Perez.
For now though Tyson Fury is still a bit of a laughing stock to the British public.
Eitherway, Floyd called Pac out over a week ago, Pac agreed this past weekend. Nothing is in the way... or at least nothing should be in the way.
Both fighters "won" their fights. Now, it's time to give the fans what they have been demanding for years now.
Pac is getting ready to retire, Bob better make this happen. If Team Pac attmepts to fight a tune up, the entire boxing world will call them out on it. I hope they know this.
WESS can I go in your sig?
Khan will **** Mayweather up!
Really? He's been getting hateful messages?
Have you looked at his twitter? He gets hateful messages for the cereal he chooses in the morning. I don't know how many married women he has shagged to deserve the hate he gets.
Fury actually recovered from what looked a pretty heavy knockdown quite quickly, he wasn't exactly suffering from jelly legs.
Whereas Pajkic in the 3rd was just shipping shots, looked pretty gassed, despite throwing some wild shots in retaliation, Fury was finding the target pretty easily in the 3rd.
Saying Tyson was far more hurt in the 2nd is bull****. Yes it was a heavier knockdown, but he seemed to recover a lot quicker than Pajkic did.
Annoying ref just seemed like he couldn't wait to step in, in the 3rd round. Even after the 1st knockdown, he took a far longer look at Pajkic, than he did Fury in the 2nd.
A rematch would be entertaining, don't think Hennessey wants to risk another war for Fury though.
Nope I'm going to act like I have the 1st time a Mayweather-Pacquiao fight came on the radar, and that's that it would be a fairly one-sided fight in Mayweather's favour.
Just always thought Pacquiao would struggle against an extremely talented defensive fighter who is going to pick his openings very carefully, and wait for his openings. Mayweather's probably the most precise puncher in the sport, even if the shots don't always land with too much venom. Think Mayweather's lateral movement, shoulder rolling from Pacquiao's attacks etc. would make for a mini schooling.
People bag on Mayweather's opposition, but I also think that Pacquiao's career above 130 has been handled like a chess board. Joshua Clottey could have potentially been tricky if he hadn't gone in there with the mentality of a journeymen, just wanting to survive the full 12. Cotto and Margarito were coming off devastating losses. Neither are very defensively astute anyway. He did well against Mosley, but then again you never know which Mosley is going to show up. Marquez just knows how to fight Pacquiao's style, and it's always fun to watch. De La Hoya just looked ill even before the 1st bell. Now I know you can pick apart any record, but I just didn't see anyone above 130 who Pacquiao has fought having a tricky style.
I won't bag too much on either fighter, they've both achieved a lot in this sport, that's just an honest assessment.
Yeah the 1st fight should probably have gone to Savon, but it wasn't as bad a decision as people are trying to make out. The Usyk-Beterbiyev decision was a lot worse, and there was 5 fights in a row on that day at heavyweight, that were a lot worse than the Joshua-Savon fight.
I remember after the World Champs all these Eastern Euros were trying to discredit Anthony Joshua as well, they were the same saying Dychko would beat Joshua easily. Some are still blowing cold air, but most of them have stepped back, because he's done what he's supposed to do,
I really appreciated his use of the jab in this fight, and will wait to see who he signs for after the Olympics.
I'd love if he escaped from all the hype, got good coaches in America, and started off on ESPN fight night undercards or something. I think the American's would like him as well.
Same length of time Medzhidov has been boxing..........
Dychko was stunned once maybe twice. Joshua was stunned or went wobbly legged 10 different times. Watch and count. Not very important though since both have enough power to hurt the other.
Joshua also gave Majidov a far better fight then Dychko did.
