my picks(excluding taylor-abraham and ward-bika because i didn't pick anyone)
Ward>Kessler
Dirrell>Froch(robbery)
Dirrell>Abraham
Kessler>Froch
Ward>Green
Froch>Abraham
Johnson>Green
Abraham>Ward(fukkin ward, latest fights too boring to watch)
Froch>Johnson
so got all of them right except for ward-abraham
how right were you?
Dirrell-Froch was no robbery....A man who goes and tries to give head every time his opponent gets close doesn't deserve to win...And, even round by round scoring the fight was still close and debatable. There was swing rounds and it was just so ugly and hard to score that I can't see how anyone calls that a robbery.
But, every single fight now that is close that goes the other way is a robbery.
Word up Son.....
If Dirrell wasn't such a scared B!TCH I honestly think he could be one of the greatest Super Middleweights
EVERRRRRRR
He was not robbed against Froch. Slipping and falling on the canvas when the heat is on? Bullsh!t. Funny how he does that in different fights. That should be counted as taking a knee - sheeeeid its WORST than taking a knee. And Ward is just as bad with all that 'hammerhead b/c he scared to get hit' bullsh!t.
I wanted Froch to win it all. I always felt he was the realest cat in the tournament.
I am afraid to look at that. :lol1:
:lol1: I just looked at the first 6 pages and from what I see you didn't make any outright predictions in that thread. Crafty devil.
So you didn't say anything ridiculous lol
Check this thread from back in 2009 a lot of people made predictions in

Shadows - Yeah I see you talking up Ward's chances in the Kessler fight.
Apparently I had Kessler winning the tournament. Yikes.

Pre-Tourney I always said that I didn't particularly think Kessler was anywhere near what people thought.
When Ward and Dirrell beat Kessler and Froch (Dirrell won I don't care!) I thought that they would get to the final and the winner would be one of them.
I supported JT over AA :(
My Pre Tourney Picks
Round 1:
Taylor over Abraham (actually thought JT had something left and would be able to outbox abraham, something that froch and ward proved that you CAN do. mentally, he wasn't in it)
Dirrell over Froch (sloppy ass fight from Dirrell, I admit, i thought he was a lot better than what he showed during this one, i liked him a little less after this showing)
Ward over Kesslar
Round 2:
Abraham over Dirrell (i thought his first outing in the tourney showed he wouldn't be able to handle abraham getting at him, but he boxed nicely!)
Kesslar over Froch
Ward over Green
Round 3:
Froch over Abraham
Ward over Bika
Johnson over Green (green shouldn't have been in tourney!)
Semis:
Froch over Johnson
Ward over Abraham
Finals
Ward over Froch
I must admit, i didn't think too highly of Abraham and Froch in the beginning of the tourney. Abraham shouldn't have left middleweight but Froch showed me that he's definitely one of the tops in the division. Finals won't be an easy fight at all! Can't wait for it!
The most anticipated match for me was Ward - Dirrell! sucks that this one didn't happen.
I had it a clear victory for Dirrell aswell.
But I knew if Dirrell didn't knock him out he would have to do something special to get the win in Nottingham.
I'm not certain about that. I think if he fought in a fair way he may have got the decision. Diving to the ground, refusing to engage, holding on and going down at every opportunity generally isn't going to win you a belt in a champion's back yard, no matter where it is. I think one of the commentators said Dirrell didn't come to win the belt, he came to steal it. Pretty farcical 'fight' overall, although I do accept Dirrell probably won more rounds of what it was.
As many others i felt quite strongly about Dirrell winning over Froch back when it happened. Robbery? No probably not, but it also felt like a clear victory.
Now I'm just happy about it. If anyone deserves to be "robbed" it's that lame ****.
I guess everyone sees it different. I thought Dirrell looked great but only in short bursts when he came in to engage. He should of taken a few more risks, you can't come to the champs backyard and expect a decision when you hit and run.
I thought Ward would make it to the final. Slightly surprised and impressed with Froch who seems to have become a better fighter as the tournament progressed. I thought Dirrell showed the most skills but perhaps his head and heart aren't up to championship boxing. Abraham failed miserably and Kessler never really got to showcase his best.

It was a definite gift in my eyes. No matter how pathetic he was, Dirrell was landing all the best punches. I had it 8-4 for Dirrell.

I think I got almost all of it wrong. I had Froch over Johnson, other than that I completely missed I think.
Well, other than Ward's fights after Kessler. That made it pretty clear he was the best fighter in the tourney.

i see how this is, you're trying to give me a second loss :damnit1:
ive been right in every fight except Froch v AA and Ward v Kessler. I cant remember who i picked for Froch v Kessler, i think i picked Kessler just cos he was at home but im not certain so I've done well in my individual fight picks (although Froch probably shouldn't have got the nod against Dirrel)
But i picked AA to win the whole thing before it started so Im still feeling pretty stupid

Old post I found.
AA vs Dirrell- March 6th, 2010
Ward vs Green/Bika- Feb. 5, 2010 on Showtime, winner faces Ward on the same night as Kess-Froch
Kessler vs Froch- April 17th, 2010, Showtime
I think the AA-Dirrell fight will surprise a few people. Abraham had a target that stayed right in front of him in Taylor, but Dirrell will not do that. Dirrell will give him alot of movement, and box him. I think AA has to pressure Dirrell and make him fight, however, Froch didn't seem to hit Dirrell with anything too big that hurt him. AA is bigger puncher than Froch and if he lands clean, Dirrell can be in trouble. Dirrell needs to get a bit more under control and sit down on his shots and fight a whole 12 rounds (if it goes the distance that is). I like Dirrell to win this one in a 12 round decision because I believe he will not make the same mistakes from his fight with Froch.
I think Ward beats the winner of this fight, with his superior boxing skills and determination. But Green-Bika should be a good one. Bika has knocked out his last 4 opponents, and Green is looking for his time to shine. I will call this fight about a week before it happens.
Kessler-Froch, I'm going to go with Kessler, although I have never really been largely impressed by him. Likewise, Froch has not largely impressed me. But these guys are two of the top fighters at this weight and I believe that Kessler will have something to prove come fight night. Neither guy put forth their best performance in Stage One of the tourney, so I honestly see this as being the most competitive fight of this Stage. Froch has been doing some trash talking, so lets see it that will translate into a victory on April 17th.
