If it comes down to this situation where Floyd is behind on the score cards and needs to KO Manny he will still run just so he can survive the fight on his feet.
Mosley is in the same league. But everyone is behind Pacquiao at this point. You can't deny what we just saw tonight utter shocking domination. Mayweather or Mosley could not have done that to Cotto.

Mayweather vs Pacquiao might happen but for sure it will be on Manny's terms not Floyds. Pac is the best right now and if Floyd doesn't respect that Manny will just go to someone who will ... the winner of Berto/Mosley. In short Pacquiao doesn't need to play Floyd Mayweathers bullshit games. If Money May wants to fight he signs the contract given if he doesn't Pacquiao will collect the rest of the belts in the division. Simple as that.
I saw the same fight he saw, and i saw Pacquiao getting a mixture of disappointed at Cotto for not standing up to fight, frustrated because he was forcing the action and wanted to fight but couldn't, and he def didn't know what to do there except go forward and hunt down the sitting duck Miguel Cotto, which he did very well, but Cotto wasn't even throwing punches while "boxing".
You are definitely watching things through "Floyd" goggles, bro. Manny was fighting Miguel Cotto not Mayweather. He will be ready for May when they fight don't worry about that. He can and will chase and catch him.

He definitely doesn't get anywhere near KOing Miguel. I still don't think he could beat Cotto IMHO. Mayweather would have a hard time against a fighter like Miguel because he couldn't back him off at will with pot shots. You would have to earn Miguel's respect and I don't think Floyd has enough fire power to make Cotto back off. So Cotto would go in and land body shots and jabs all fight while Floyd runs for his life and avoids contact. He might get lucky and win a close split decision but it would not be easy for Floyd that's for sure.
Cool we'll save it. We all know why he won't go toe to toe (even though some are on here fronting like Floyd could take out Pac). He will try to box but sooner or later he will have to exchange with Pacquiao. I don't think you can fight Pac going backwards and win a clear cut decision.
Hell yeah, I was surprised at Manny's approach. I was yelling at the screen saying "What the hell are you doing?!" "Don't just stand there!" Man, he had me fooled I can just imagine what was going through Cotto's mind.
It wouldn't be a test. It would be easier than beating Juan Manuel Marquez for two to three times the money. JMM landed 60+ punches against Mayweather in 12 rounds. I doubt Manny would land 50 against Mayweather even if the fight went 12 rounds, which I doubt it would. Mayweather is probably salivating over the idea of a fight with Pacquaio after watching the Cotto fight.
I've said this once and I will say it again. Mayweather can run and lose a unanimous decision or exchange punches and get KTFO by Pacquaio. It's his choice and the only choices he really has.

It may have been a skill of his in lower weight divisions but he hasn't shown that version of himself in 3 years. Pac has the style that will give Mayweather the most trouble he can't run and block all of his punches all of the time. This is the point. When a punch lands and stuns Mayweather what then? Pacquiao will land punches on Floyd and will hurt him if he try's to engage him for any period of time.
Pac having better accomplishments than Mr boat buyer doesn't automatically mean he actually beats him. Styles makes fights.
Your right Mangler style does make the fight but Pacquiao has the perfect style to beat Mayweather. You won't outbox Floyd. But going in and giving him a non stop whirlwind of offense can and will beat him. Can Floyd fight Pac off of him.. not a chance in hell. If he squares up on Pac it will be over very soon, if Cotto couldn't hurt or slow down Pac what makes you think Mayweather will?. So what can Floyd actually do? Pac is an amazing fighter. Punching from all angles, speed, determination..... A true warrior. He needs a fighter to brawl with in order to win. Floyd will not do that. There is a reason why one of the great defensive guys of all time in Floyd has only really been buzzed by Chop and Zab. This is fantasy talk. There is no way Floyd will get aggressive on Manny. We have seen that doesn't work against Pac. Mayweather will be in defense mode, this is the only way he has even a chance to win.
Too many of you are ruling out that Pac can win a unanimous decision. If Floyd is too defensive and Manny is chasing him around the ring he could very well lose rounds. I don't see how you all don't even put that in the equation of this fight. Manny could easily win a decision against Floyd.
