Nigel Benn was never a GREAT boxer, he couldnt fight past 6 rounds before falling to pieces.

Calzaghe just showed recently that speed kills in boxing and Mayweather for me has a lot of it to burn, I which Hatton had fought someone in there prime with speed before this fight...That would have helped

Hattons gonna fight for 6 rounds with one thing on his mind, PBF's ribs.
Hatton is shorter and less agile around the ring, but Mayweather wont be able to hold it with Ricky inside close up.

They are both 1-1 against each other. So we can avoid this impossible argument by considering that they were both great and well matched against each other. I respect them both. Duran slightly greater status IMO because of his other accomplishments in the ring. But, this is subject to debate.
Although Duran is GOD ! SRL did beat him twice out of the 3 fights they had !

Durans retired, he fought in the golden era of middleweight boxing (even though he was initially L/W), Mayweather's just a pretty boy in a very ungolden era !

Mayweather fights in MEGA fights. These fights take 4-6 months to promote AT THE LEAST. That means you can only see him fight twice a year even though he wants to fight much more it just isn't possible.

I would actually give the ROTY to Bika/Jaidon, FOTY in my opinion is Vazquez/Marquez because of the level of talent and intesity in all the rounds where as the Taylor/Pavlik, while as equally exciting, really only had about 3 rounds of pure actions.

Calzaghe is the undefeated & undisputed SMW champion, he has to fight in Hopkins division, he has to fight in Hopkins country, and he has to fight in Hopkins venue.
Surely that warrants at least 50% of the purse.
Hopkins needs Calzaghe more than Calzaghe needs Hopkins.
