His biggest advantage was having better preparation by only fighting twice a year on the same weekends, his opponents have zero idea they're about to hit the Mayweather lottery while he most likely knew ahead of time who he wanted to make sure it was even possible to schedule the fight on said weekends. It's also the perfect strategy watch your biggest threats get taken out in the meanwhile so they're no longer in the conversation.
