What a bunch of lazy lying bastards.
Where will that $32 million coming from when all US major broadcasters have left boxing?
Which is why you never take these click-baiting youtubers seriously.
They should be reported to the Youtube management for lying. Keep them out of business.
Here's another:
Devin Haney Responds to Shakur Stevenson Turning Down $8 MILLION to Fight him for UNDISPUTED

Look at this:
“Why Fight Devin Haney for $8 MILLION today, when we can make $20M Next year” — Shakur Stevenson TM…
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5o5ov8y4pA
Look at all this craziness: This is the 25 split they're talking about, which means the 75% for Haney is $25 million for a fight between fighters who can't even draw flies.
(FINALLY) SHAKUR STEVENSON OFFERED ESTIMATED 8 MILLION DOLLARS TO FIGHT DEVIN HANEY
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nx-N_xrCRaE
It's a corrupt sport where no one takes accountability for anything... Those figures should never be taken seriously.
Yep. $8 million for Shakur, $24 million for Haney.
Shakie vs Hankey fight is worth $32 million, according to Frank Martin in the video. No one cares enough to question it.
According to Haney:
Despite Moving Up, Devin Haney Believes Making 140 Won’t Be Easy

Haney is staying at 140 lbs. He got Em all at 35; which I can’t believe he was able to make the limit a few times. The rest will rebuild the left behind crown.
There's no way anyone can fact-check figures in a business where everyone is lying. Where would you even begin? All you can do is talk to their managers/promoters who, of course, would provide exaggerated figures. Only way is to see whistle blowers from the IRS coming out and exposing the lies.
It's impossible. That's why the only way is to compare them with past purses and an estimate of the size of the fight. If you think the fight can't be that big and the purses where alleged to be 5 - 10 times higher, then you can be sure it's a lie. Size of the fight can be estimated by the size of the crowd, media attention, PPV numbers, tv ratings, forum traffic like this one, etc.
Strangest part is they have become even bolder ignoring the fact that all major broadcasting networks in America have left boxing forever. Meaning, the money is simply not there to continue to lie and exaggerate numbers.

The amount of fake news and exaggeration is mind-blowing in this day and age. No one is interested in fact-checking them. Wilder for example made $2 million in the Luis Ortiz fight. You could tell the size and worth of the fight. Next fight has to be ten times bigger for him to take home a $20 mil paycheck. Yet they claim he made $20 mil in the Helenius fight. You then ask, where did that money come from? Is boxing no longer a business, but a charity? Or it's mere lie?

Fans should get a sense or feel of how big or small a fight is based on past fights so they can at least detect there's something wrong with the figures being thrown out there. Is Stevenson vs Haney bigger/smaller than Loma vs Haney, for example? How much did Haney earned in that fight? How about Loma?
Someone mentioned Thurman vs Porter as an example. Yeah, that was a huge fight in my recollection. It was not on PPV. And both fighters made an average of $1 million each. And imho, I still believe $1 mil is still huge even in this day and age. Martin didn't deny his highest purse so far is $250K.

the 8 million rumor was started by a fan/caller playing fantasy boxing exec on the tha boxing voice podcast. It caught on, on social media and people ran with it.
They probably stole the number from Fury/Dillian Whyte's purse which was 33 for Fury, 7 for Whyte
People coming up with fake and exaggerated numbers is rampant these days.
I thought the same thing. I’m sure he doesn’t make 135 easily but he has ALWAYS fought at that weight for a reason. He has an advantage there. All of sudden he doesn’t want to fight there BUT If Tank wants the fight. How much you want to bet he’ll take that fight.
Yeah, if that payday comes calling, he'll find a way to slim down :lol1:
He's too big for 135.
He's been too big for 135.
Him & Kambosos looked like Holocaust survivors when they fought the 2nd time.

That was a year ago.
He's outgrown the weight.
Loma needs to fight Shakur, Tank, or Frank Martin

I doubt it.
You just have to hope Haney loses in his next fight, or Prograis makes him look average. He might then consider going back to 135 with more focus, and things might get more clarified. Right now he's all smiles feeling he's on top of the world and acting cocky.
If Haney was a REAL fighter. His up coming fight would have been with Loma. He’s not a man.

Well, all we can do is compare it with other fights.
Thurman vs Porter, for example, was a huge fight. I mean hyuuge in terms of coverage.
If I remember correctly it was non-PPV, on NBC and hosted by Bob Costas.
Thurman and Porter made their first $1 million purse. ($1.2 mil for Keith, $1 mil for Porter.)
It wasn’t their first million dollar purse.
I doubt it.
