Chris Arreola, Daniel Jacobs, James Kirkland, Andre Berto, Lamont Peterson, Anthony Peterson, Steve Cunningham, Jeff Lacy, Jermain Taylor, Sergio Mora, Kelly Pavlik, Fernando Vargas, Victor Ortiz, Paul Williams, Paulie Malignaggi, Juan Diaz, Zab Judah, Kendall Holt, Demetrius Hopkins.
Also there's literally 100+ foriegn fighters based in the USA who are flat out overhyped in that country. Think Vic Darchinyan, Sam Peter, Edison Miranda... the list is endless.
All these and this is just going off recent times.
There is no other answer, just delusions.
That list is a bit bogus unless your definition of a hype job is incredibly loose.
No one has hyped up Chris Areolla, if you just check out the polls of him VS any Klitschko you would see 99.9 percent of this forum and even the press give him little chance for victory. Danial Jacobs and James Kirkland are not claimed to be the next best thing and Andre Berto is known by everybody as the weakest Welterweight title holder in his division. When has Anthony Peterson, Sergio Mora, Paulie M and Steve Cunnigham received any recognition? Zab isn't hyped up, but instead just given too many fights/shots.
Kelly Pavlik and Jeff Lacy in a way could be considered hype jobs as they were considered the heavy favorites and ended up losing in damaging fashion but Kelly could still redeem himself as well as Ortiz who is at a very early point in his career. Paul Williams is Max Kellermans hype job.
