GGG was not able to spar with Cotto because he was in Big Bear only for. 3-4 days business trip. There is a video out there where GGG trainer is saying that.
Fight a guy who is below his weight division and where he will have all the physical advantages or fight again a guy who is 180+ the night of the fight and almost KO him when he decided to throw more... Easy...
I can't beleive what Mr. Pineiro is saying. How can he say something like this? A trainer's job should be to improve his boxer's abilities in all they ways he can. Juanma does need to improve his defensive abilities a lot. He is a great boxer with such a great power and with a better defense he will be difficult to beat. For, Pineiro I can ask him, where is Alcazar now? And about Steward, he made a lot of improvements to Cotto's feet movement and balance and of course, he has worked with Cotto for only one fight.
In my opinion, the best option for Bomba would be Pedro Diaz. Garcia and Nacho are a great trainers but Bomba's style would be perfect for a trainer like Diaz.
Second option at this moment, Garcia or Roach.

Mayweather went to Puerto Rico last year (he said he was on vacations) but there was a meeting with Team Cotto. Many people said it was a business meeting trying to make some Mayweather/Cotto Promotions fights.

That's easy... Because puertoricans have the greatest ratio per capita of boxing champions by a huge margin in the world. Mexico has 110+ million ppl in Mex compared to 3.5 million in PR. One more thing, puertoricans have won lot more fights against mexicans in title fights... They cannot accept that...
