James DeGale is too thick to feel any shame for his obnoxiousness, and David Haye is too smug. In his own head he probably sees himself as a modern day Oscar Wilde.
haha classic! Not sure if anybody has watched the build up on sky sports for the Degale and Groves fight but Degale made himself look like a right doughnut on Ringside - he cant even string a sentence together, embarrassing
I just wonder what fighters think when they see and hear themselves back after these press conferences - James Degale is another fighter who's behaving exactly the same kind of way.
there is no way this card justified PPV in the first instance and now this fight is off it definitely doesn't! Would american audiences pay for a fight between two fighters who have had 22 professional fights between them? Dont get me wrong i'm pumped for Degale and Groves but its not a PPV fight... nothing like it.
NIce, an old fashioned prizefight.
This is a strange fight all round when do you ever see a 12-0 guy fight a 10-0 guy these days
not just that mate but the fight has captured everyones imagination as well! To be fair its been marketed brilliantly - not sure I have been this pumped for an all british fight since arthur and gomez
Yeah I think Haye looks a little edgy - its strange as he didnt seem to have any issues conducting the valuev pressers... i think the realisation of what he is facing has finally hit him
im at work so cant hear whats being said but judging from the pictures it looks like a lot of verbals?!! Warren will be loving it, he'll think he's saved the card and justify the PPV
Based on what?
well Judah is still one of the fastest guys out there.... I seem to remember Amir Khan being tagged and hurt by Maidana within 30 seconds of there fight and he is nowehere near as quick as Judah...
Bradley is a dangerous fight too but Khan fancies it because he doesnt think Bradley hits hard enough to trouble him....
Remember when people were mentioning that Froch looked nervous in the pressers for Abraham, i wouldnt look too much into this kind of stuff.
completely agree - the only thing I would say to that is Haye seems to be conducting himself differently compared to other fight preparations. May be a tactic, who knows.
Heard Bellew maybe called in as a replacement. Although Bellew is terrible and would get KO'd..
haha agreed but at least he has power so could make it interesting whilst it lasts....
i'm not a massive fan of Naazim at all but I think it would have been difficult for any trainer trying to emulate the relationship Shane had with his father, Jack.
Personally I think people are looking into both mans last fight too much. The anderson night wasn't great for Groves but he is an under-rated fighter and if you believe Groves he was trying new things out defensively - the most important thing is groves was able to show the grit, determination and heart to come through a tough battle. On the other hand I feel people are seriously over-estimating Degale's win against a blown up Smith. Whilst Degale looked good throughout the night, Smith was so slow it was painful.
I think this fight will be a lot closer than people expect - remember vernon forrest and sugar shane? Now i'm not saying these two are in the same class but sometimes fighters have eachother's numbers...
Anyways to conclude my heart says Groves by 6th round stoppage but my head says unanimous points for Degale
Well he's small next to the guy he's been calling out for some time.

thats not the point though, i continually hear people talking about haye being too small to be a heavyweight
and regardless, size matters very little. Mike tyson is small compared to wlad, but frankly a prime tyson would murder him. And I don't even rate tyson in my top 10 heavys
i find it laughable that people say haye is "small" for a heavyweight when the current crop of heavys are for the most part 10 to 15 pounds over weight and out of shape. Being fat doesn't make you naturally bigger
the words clutching and straws come to mind. I see your logic, he's a big lightweight and could be struggling to make the weight, hence his chin is affected. However, last night a god dam jab hurt him... a jab!! The guys in trouble whoever he faces at any weight who can take a shot and come back with one themselves
David Haye is another ridiculously overhyped British fighter
There are a bunch of Limey clowns on here that think Haye will clean out the heavyweight division :rofl::rofl::rofl:
Haye and Khan = Overhyped glass chin British trash
will somebody ban this over-bearing, biased prick
shut the fuck up you clown, nobody respects what you think on here. You're just a cunt
well seeing as Naz is one of the biggest punchers p4p probably ever, i dont think 8 pounds in weight would make too much of a difference.... he would still ko khan imo
I disagree. Whyte was landing jabs at will when they fought and he is technically very poor. Joshua is explosive for the first couple of rounds but if his opponent hasn't crumbled after 2/3 rounds, he runs out of ideas. Look at his fight with Dominic Brezeale - he was stalking Brezeale and didn't mix his shots up at all - zero variety. I think Wlad sticks his jab in Joshua's face all night long and brings him on to a left hook mid to late rounds.
i tell you whats a great fight, michael brodie versus injin chi (1st fight) which ended in a draw, and the second fight was very brutal with chi winning in the 7th
people are making the same mistake as the average joe off the street.... going off appearances
it doesn't matter how you look or even how big you are to an extent
im picking nigel benn. he's big enough to make a serious impact, very quick and he just dont give a fuck
Yeah I agree. I've never watched Wlad/Purrity but I know to hold no stock in it whatsoever.
I can forgive a fighter a loss early in his career. Haye's is not to bad because it was against a very good fighter who just knew Haye would blow his load and took advantage if he didn't get KO'd. Carl the cat is as tough as old boots.
For the same reason I still think Andy Lee will make a splash at middle.
A loss can accelerate a career.
precisely, and if you look at the thompson fight haye was actually beating the living shit out of him and taking him to school. It was just a stamina and experience thing
the next person to say haye will be 'exposed' should be banned from boxingscene.... how can you expose an undisputed champion who cleared out his division in 22 fights? i mean seriously...
one thing haye is not is HYPE..
Look what he has achieved so far. Look what he did to Bonin a durable TRUE (but shit) heavyweight. Destroyed him every time he landed Bonin went down.
He has true power and speed and he will look even faster at heavy.
am i right in saying that bonin had never been stopped?
i remember watching that fight on sky and thinking how shocked bonin looked with haye's power. he punches through the target so well
well frankly americans are known for being loud and brash. You only have to look at sport events where everyones whooping and hollering continually. tact people, tact
cotto has chin problems u dum fuck is that hard to understand?
i think he thinks your talking about cotto dude....
but i agree with you about cotto and his chin. its looked much more solid since moving to 147 but no doubt he can be hurt. Margarito will put his punches together in bunches, something which mosley couldn't at this point in his career
will definitely be interesting clash of styles
