You think Joshua is not seasoned enough ? I could see Kloiitschko winning by big KO with the flat footed stiff Brit.
Nah not really. I would like to see some more head-movement etc. It could go both ways. It could be a jab fest, it could be an early KO for either guy.
But I would have Klitschko as a 70-30 or so favourite.
I agree that Joshua is not a mover and doesn't fight on the back foot. It doesn't mean he can't box though. And Joshua is far from slow. He has much better hand speed than Wlad.
Even so, Vlad can take fast hands, its the fast feet he has issues with.
Now, I would RATHER AJ win, but imo he just isnt there yet. I see another Jennings type of domination for Klitschko. Not a fan of his style but its effective and he has perfected that Jab n Grab, smothering, depleting your energy type of style. Considering AJ hasnt went the distance yet, its really hard to favor him in a 12 rd fight with King Klinchko.
not really.
styles make fights, and AJ doesnt fight tall, he comes right for you.
josh dont move like fury. vlad has dealt with all kinds of slow moving, heavy footed power punchers. anthony joshua is more mariusz wach than tyson fury.
the slow plodding, robotic types are what vlad feasts on

none of those heavy hitters were 6'6 though....big difference

Pulev wach Thompson can all bang and are pretty much there. An inch isn't much of a difference
For me, it all really depends on how much Wlad has slid. Taking nothing away from Fury's win, you could see Wlad had looked pretty bad even a couple of fights before that. Looking like he sees the openings but is afraid to take them. If Wlad is still mostly Wlad I favor him to win by knockout. AJ has fought nobody of note. This is a huge step up for him. But Wlad is looking more like a once great fighter at the end of his career who is gunshy. If he is afraid to open up like he was against Fury I think he goes to sleep about half way through.
I don't agree with this..Wlads fought cautious since Steward (RIP) taught him how to fight to his strength. Mobile fighters always took longer for him to deal with...Chambers who was small nearly went the distance...Thompson got some good rounds. Prior to Jennings who fought the fight of his life that night with speed and mobility Wlad demolished Pulev and beat the snot out of undefeated Povetkin. The way to beat Wlads best style is with mobility and hitting him as soon as he's in range...he naturally goes on the defensive. He's technically very good so if you punch with him you need to be as good technically and faster.
I don't see AJ having the stamina, movement nor technical ability to suss wlad out
AJS only hope in the fight is to land a bingo punch and have wlad on the ropes.
Wlad will likely take centre ring and keep it with his jab and then start unloading
I don't think AJ gets past Wlads jab. He's not shown the evasiveness, footwork or ability to change tempo to suggest he will. Wlads been in with plenty of big hitters before & knows how to deal with them.
I also think Wlad carries the weight better and has the experience to pace himself. I still feel AJ will tire if his chin doesn't give up on him and when tired it won't have to be a heavy kd to really drain him getting back on his feet
AJS best bet is to steam straight into wlad from the opening bell but he's then walking onto Wlads heavy hands

Vote ...
vlad has the formula for guys like joshua. they came up with compuclinch for a reason, lol.
vlad clinches, pulls, holds to a solid UD.
josh still too green i reckon.
I think its too soon for Joshua. 18 months down the line with a couple of big fights under his belt I would favour Joshua, but I think this one comes too soon.
I think WK goes looking for a KO early BUT Joshua always has that power to end the fight at any time. It will all come down to how Joshua handles WK's jab and how WK handles Joshuas speed.
Its looking like cherry picking by saying in 18 months. There might be a handful or so heavyweights who could beat wkad in 18 months time. You could say in 24 months josh would have better chance but will wkad still be fighting by then?
Were sanders and Brewster so calculated about when their best chance against wkad would be?

i would have Klitschko as a substantial favourite. Probably by KO in the late rounds.

Young lion versus old lion; the Fury performance made it absolutely clear that Klitschko is starting to hit a real decline (as he was seemingly gun shy with letting anything goes).
Joshua is just as big, just as good on the jab, has the athleticism in his legs to set his pace, and takes a pretty decent shot; KO/TKO within 10
I disagree. Whyte was landing jabs at will when they fought and he is technically very poor. Joshua is explosive for the no first couple of rounds but if his opponent hasn't crumbled after 2/3 rounds, he runs out of ideas. Look at his fight with Dominic Brezeale - he was stalking Brezeale and didn't mix his shots up at all - zero variety. I think Wlad sticks his jab in Joshua's face all night long and brings him on to a left hook mid to late rounds.
Like he did to Fury? Wlad was sliding visibly against Jennings and couldn't pull the trigger at all against Fury. Fury had something to do with it but if he wouldn't take a chance against a guy who wasn't gonna drop him with one shot in Fury do you really think he is going to open up against Joshua? I don't, Joshua TKO in 6-7.
