WBO light heavyweight champion Juergen Braehmer will not be able to defend his title against interim titlist Nathan Cleverly on Saturday in London after a cut suffered in training reopened on Tuesday. Braehmer will not be traveling to London today as scheduled
Its on fight news
The only fight to keep this at PPV quality would be Zsolt Erdei (in terms of WBO ranking)
Bellew would be intruiging, but he is a big light heavyweight and I can't imagine him being able to slot in comfortably at this notice.
The editor of Boxing Weekly is talking to Bellew on Twitter and saying that he will have to shed to much weight to quickly to be ready for Saturday.
Be interesting to see what happens as im sure Bellew will take the fight if hes offered it.
Tony Bellew's Twitter 11 mins ago:
Frank called, he's my manager and I trust him so watch this space people.. Anything is possible in the squared circle ;-)
Gutted the fight is off...was looking forward to it.
Would be decent if Bellew was brought in as a replacement as they seem to genuinely not like each-other. Shame for Cleverly though that Braehmer has pulled out.
Exactly, it'd be grudge I and grudge II

I wouldn't mind seeing Bellew get knocked out. Erdei would be a dream at this stage, but I think it's very unlikely that he will switch training camps this close to a fight, and face a competitor as strong as Cleverly.
Cleverly vs Bellew is a decent fight at this point in time. Plus, it will be good to see the cocky t**t knocked out.
The more worying aspect is that yet again sky are having to deal with crap over ppv boxing. The Haye fiasco, then Khan and now this. It would be great if Warren thought more long term and agreed to pull it from ppv and stood side by side with sky to give genuine value for fans. It would help him in the long term and help shed his "frog faced cunt" image.
Lets hope sky dont just get hacked off with the whole thing and start losing interest in boxing. The sport if dead in the UK if they do, regardless of Premier or Primetime.
Bet Hearn is chuckling away!
