I'll u/l the LN series of it and attach it to this post for those that haven't seen the fight..but Pryor's trainer gives him a drug that's unidentified, anybody feel like taking a guess at what it was? cocaine ?
Some said it was just Schnapps and water. Or it could be sugared water, the most common at the time. But cocaine? Don't think so. It'd affect his reflexes and focus and he would have lost the fight. :boxing:
My list is simple, these fighters give everyone a chance to not like them.
1.Tyson
2.Mayorga
3.Hamed
4.Toney
5.Calzaghe
I'll take 2 from your list: Tyson and Hamed.
nice aticle. tyson had nothing to beat tyson with ? what about his left hook or his right uppercut? tyson was one of the hardest hitting boxers of all time. even a light puncher like ali knocked out foreman so i have no doubt that tyson could have knocked foreman out. this isnt to say i dont believe the article, nothing about tyson suprises me.
I agree that Iron Mike had a fairly good chance against Big George. But the problem was did he have the fighting spirit to face him? I believe too that he was scared stiff of Foreman, otherwise he would have fought him back then. :boxing:
Now I know how two people can view a fight differently.
Specially if you're on different sides of the fence, rooting for different protagonists! Absolutely, you'll see the fight on different perspectives! :boxing:
Fuck You. The Ultimate Warrior fights bad Karma with bad Karma bitch!
Warriors unite. Bad Karma Run w/knives.
Ok, "Warrior" Abdiel! Ok, "Warrior" Sn1gger! Hut-One-Two-Three-Four... :killyou:
OMG that'd be too fucked up if Warrior actually got power. I theorize that maybe the Democracts convince Warrior to give speeches as a republican to send more people out of that party.
Those smart alecky Democrats! But don't look now, a popular figure plus an unpredictable electorate, and what have you got? DISASTER!!
well if those are bite marks from ANDREA (is she the GF of EM???, that is one hot moma) before the fight, heck there is no doubt in my mind Erik Morales is the best fighter on the planet ..
One thing's for sure: Andrea's bite is more potent, more envigorating than Pac's RedBull! :p I wonder if that was legal??
You're being nice saying he had little wrestling talent. I'd take it further and say he fucking sucked. Anybody actually force yourself through that Warrior vs. Hogan match? Warrior's chest was bigger, so McMahon had him win. McMahon is so gay for men with big muscles. Remember that WBF- World Bodybuilding Federation he had? How gay was that?
I always thought there's something weird about MacMahon! :D Warrior could be thinking of going the way of Jesse The Body and Ahhnold S. and run for governor or something. All hell breaks loose if he wins!!
I concur. He was awesome when I was but a young lad, and when I found out he was just a roided up freakshow I was pissed. Who the fuck is he to say anything about anything? This just another tally in his douchebag column.
His state of mind has always been unstable even when he was still at his prime and was one of WWF's main attractions. He was a popular draw then only because of his physique, but he had little wrestling talent and his talks were just plain unintelligent rubbish and nonsense.
By Royal Rumble, you mean they have to lift the other member up and over the ropes to eliminate them?
Or do you just mean an elimination tournament?
They're both about as likely as the other to happen...
Of course you don't have to lift and throw your opponent out of the ring. You don't do that in boxing. It'll be like a mad mix up inside the ring and anybody who gets KOd or TKOd gets is eliminated. No, I'm not referrring to an elimination tournament. This could take forever which we waqnt to avoid in the first place.
Yes, I agree that this would unlikely be realized in the near future. But it really doesn't make any sense having as many "champions" in a single division as the number of boxing organizations that have sprouted lately a-dime-a-dozen like wild mushrooms. :boxing:
For one:
You would need to assess the "location" of the Royal Rumble event. Fighters respective to their home countries might dissaprove of the actual site. Promotion for the fights may be a problem as well, you would have to cross certain cultural and societal standards that would make it difficult to market.
Secondly:
This would force the existing title holders to strip themselves of the belts they have earned. "From my cold dead hand" they would say...IMO. They would have to abandon their title in order to participate in a contest of such.
If the "price is right", the location should not be a problem, specially if it's in Vegas or similar areas.
The belts would be the least of their concern. Actually, the purpose of the tournament is precisely to do away with these alphabet belts and to fight for the recognition of being the "best of the best", the "champion of champions" in the division. :boxing:
hahaha that shit was funny, and in the final it would be Chris Byrd vs John Ruiz and Don King would distract the referee and then when his back is turned Jameel Mcline would come in and the crowd would start booing and then John Ruiz looks toward the crowd as if to say What? BEHIND YOU! he puts his glove to his ear as if to say i cant hear you then he turns around and Mcline hits him and leaves the ring and Don King jumps of the apron and the referee turns back around and starts the count and Byrd ends up winnin.
Ha-ha-ha! You've got some really wild imagination, bro!! :D
Serously, if they met at 138 catch weight, who`d win. I lean towards Tsyzu by one sided 3rd round KO but it`ll be close cos its manny fighting! what are your thoughts!
I'm a big Pac fan, but I don't see Pac moving up to 138! He'll bloat himself to make the weight and while he's one of the most powerful P4P at 126, I'm not sure he'll carry over his power and speed at 138. No, I don't believe this fight would happen. :boxing:
I had some Scottish friends and they seemed to be friendly and cheerful guys. Of course, whenever I was with them, they're sober. I have never been with them while they were under the spirit. Now, I wouldn't wish to be anywhere near them if I know they had one or two for the road. :D
Moderate alcohol is good for us but we all know how too much of the stuff can affect your mental faculties and make you do the strangest things which you will forget and later regret.
My all-time favorites are the explosive, excitng group of:
Hitman Hearns
Sugar Ray Leonard
Marvin Hagler
Roberto Duran
Pipino Cuevas
My current favorites are:
MAB
Pacman
EM
JMM
My Ex girlfriend was from Paisley, which is like 20 minutes from Glasgow town centre. She was lovely untill you like disagreed or upset her. Then she`d scream Nooooo in a high pitch Scotish accent and through punches. I think this fighting is something in their nature!
Wow! Screams and punches??? So, what happened to your ex-GF? You dumped her or she dumped you? :D
Tyson seems very unsure onwhat he wants to do in life. How's he earning a living now, anybody know?
Got this from http://www.rotten.com/library/bio/sports/mike-tyson/
As early as 2003, Iron Mike has already filed for bankruptcy in New York. Also in the same year, rap artist 50 Cent bought his 48,000-square-foot mansion in Farmington, Connecticut for $4.1 million.
In an interview with This Is London a few months ago, Tyson announced that since declaring bankruptcy he has been sleeping in homeless shelters and living off handouts. "I've got nowhere to live. I've been crashing with friends, literally sleeping in shelters. Unsavoury characters are giving me money and I'm taking it. I need it. The drug dealers, they sympathise with me. They see me as some sort of pathetic character... I know I was a tough, bad-ass talking fighter, but I ain't no mob figure. I did my time for the rape. I paid my money to Las Vegas. I paid my dues. I ain't the same person I was when I bit that guy's ear off."
He's so desperate he'd try his luck at anything, maybe even spar with kangaroos in Australia.
I still can't imagine Tyson raising those legs and delivering roundhouse kicks. In any case, he'll certainly elevate the sport to a new high level of popularity and excitement. Fans would follow him there for sure. :alucard:
Lets use this thread till the fight so we can see who the underdog is going to the fight
lets see once and for all who is ur pick
I PICK PACQUIAO BY KO!
My final thoughts on this fight? I hope this is the final thread on this fight!! He-he. :D
I go with you, Pac by KO in the early rounds. :boxing:
i got a feeling this fight is gonna suck some huge nuts
Hey SR, even if it ends in Round 1 KO, rest assured it won't be a stinker. Just a single round should be enough to leave you gasping for breathe and your pressure on all-time high! :boxing:
...I say he gets his ass kicked if he tries it. I don't know about muythai but I wouldn't mind seeing him try a little Hari Kari.
Hara-kiri??!! With all his financial and legal woes and sagging career, he's better off committing it! :D Seriously, with proper intensive training and mental conditioning, he should make it big in muaythai.
I saw FOREMAN-JOSE ROMAN on tape. It ended in KO a few minutes after the start of the bell in Round One. It was the worst, the most miserable mismatch I have ever seen in HW boxing!!!
