Should be a good one. Gradovich's trainer Robert says that he's the hardest working guy in his gym. That plus Dibb knowing this could be one of his last chances at a world title should make for a good fight.
He doesn't have one punch power, not even at lightweight did he. He wears guys down by smothering them and through accumulation.
Hes slow, flat footed, he has never fought a single southpaw before or fought at the weight and only had two at 140, was losing one, lost the other not to mention coming off a loss at lightweight in a shut out and multiple struggles with fighters who are Euro level at best.
Everytime he has fought anybody who hasn't stood in front of him hes either lost or been left virtually clueless.
All-in-all he is made to order and complete and utter useless to be quite honest. He is extremely limited. He will do his usual plod forward as that is the only thing he knows how to do & Manny eats guys like that alive.
If Manny is operating at even 40% he still destroys Rios. Hes not going the distance.
I respect your opinion, but I have to disagree. Manny at 100% has trouble with Brandon. He'll apply that pressure same way he did against a faster Acosta and a faster Peterson and make him fight(who at the time were 2 of the best in the division). Manny was great but come November 23rd everyone will be talking about Rios vs. Provodnikov PPV and how Provodnikov is going to beat him. I can see it already. Rios all day
Dangerous fight but that's Ortiz for ya, dude's a warrior :boxing:
Ortiz will Berto anyone right now he's got tunnel vision. Looking to take over the game as Floyd and Manny are on there way out, he's better than every welterweight not named Mayweather or Pacquiao.
Your ****ing crazy. Boxing scene needs to delete your account ASAP. Ortiz is good, but 147 is stacked now and he's just in the middle of the pack, him and khan are both names, but nothing great.
Hell naw..Manny would stop Khan in 8 and should stop Rios in 5 or less
Crazy talk, Rios beats Paquiao, Rios beat Acosta, Peterson and Alvarado all people he was supposed to lose to. He should have Angel Garcia as his hype man. Have people believing in him like Danny.
I'm leaning towards the winner of Ortiz vs Collazo. I didn't put Collazo down on the list because Ortiz should win. If Ortiz losses he can kiss his boxing career goodbye. Ortiz vs Guerrero the winner gets Maidana.
Rios lost dude. If manny is "sh-t" and still pitched a 12-0 shutout against your dude... what does that say about rios?
I was hoping manny would stand and fight like the old manny but instead he chose to stay conservative. It's ok. He won respect, but don't say he looked great
Hilarious
You guys are some straight haters. Manny looked like **** and anyone who says the old manny is back is crazy. Rios got hit more against Alvarado in their first fight and that **** only went 6 or 7 rds.
Nevermind, I just read an interview he did with Univision Deportes and he says he's making no changes, he's sticking with Roach. He also said in the interview that he wants either Brian Vera or Matthew Macklin and he wants the fight to happen in the capital city of Mexico.
Mad props to both guys. How the **** do you boo someone after a fight like that. ****in hating ass *****es. the 147 lb. division was already stacked, and another man was added to the deepest division
No matter what Ortiz doesn't know how to be in a boring fight, can't wait to see him again. Hopefully he used the time off to figure out if boxing is really what he wants to do and put his heart in it.
I don't think roach sent him out to go toe to toe, but that's Amir's character he's a fighter and acts like one when he's in those situations. He could have outboxed Peterson, but instead chose to exchange with him. He acts like a fighter and I have to say that's why I root for him.
:luvbed:
now THAT is some funny shit my friend. I commend you!
Bradley's a chump! He got treated like a red headed step child against Pacquiao and people got the nerve to make it sound like it was a close fight. I don't even like Pacquiao and I could see that ****. Ray Charles told me it was a robbery. Bradley ain't **** dude! Rios by KO
I think Nonito and Santa Cruz are the two guys that can beat Mares. Santa Cruz will match you punch for punch and then some and Nonito has the power to keep you honest. If any of these fights got made it would be must see tv.
Bradley beats that man from corner to corner so badly, Rios might just retire from the sport after the loss.
Manny didn't want to rematch Bradley because he doesn't want to get beaten again.....he whooped up on Abregu who just stomped a mudhole in Dolurme. He whooped up on Peterson and Alexander who are both undefeated since the Bradley loss. He dominates the best of the best, I don't blame Pac for going after another watered down JMM fight.
Couldn't disagree more, Rios is way to strong for him and Bradley's got two pillows for fists. How's he supposed to keep Rios off of him all night. Rios by KO. And that comment about Bradley beating Pacquiao, hilarious!
Hard to believe leading up to this fight everybody on here was talking about Vanes getting manhandled and it being a short night for him. He was actually the agressor and took the fight to Lara. Lara is not all that great the way people were making him sound and now I think Canelo could woop his ass to be honest. Vanes should go after K9's belt or fight El Perro IMO.
i can only assume you are trying to hype rios up just in case the rios-pac rumors end up being true, and i can see why obviously, becayse you are a die hard pac fan, which is all fine and dandy, but it does not work in this scenario, because its brandon rios for fucks sake, and he is a cab driver on his best day. bradley wipes the floor with him with the greatest of ease, without really needing to dig deep, no digging at all is necessary, come to think of it...
that fight would be tantamount to Winky-Trinidad. just a full out decimation and humiliation
You're hilarious guy. Rios a cab driver on his best day, wow! Bradley would have his hands full and probably get KO'ed and Rios gives your boy Swift all he can handle for 12 rounds too. Don't hate
Molina's the man. Nobody wants it with GGG, but Molina would step right in that's what I'm talking about. Of course HBO ain't having it though, they're not about to put Molina on after having some pretty non-eventfull fights the last couple of weeks I doubt they're going to ok him as an opponent.:nono:
Props to Rosado for taking the tough fight and moving up at that, but bad career move imo. He should take k9's belt but maybe GBP has plans for him. Who promotes Rosado?
Gamboa vs. Martinez should be good, I really don't care to see Vasquez again, and I was almost 100% possitive that they would put Mike Lee on the card as well as Rigondeaux. I hope they don't think of giving Rigondeaux main event status on an upcoming HBO, because so far his competition has been extremely poor. Overall this card deserves a D+, C- if I'm being generous, You figure people really don't want to see the main event so the undercard should have been stacked. Or maybe that speaks to the stable of fighters that top rank has. (Not much to choose from in each division)
The Solis vs. Gamboa fight I did not know about, but that sucks because they haven't done **** since that fight. I guess that means that they probably wont do **** after this fight either. Boxing needs them to work together. this blows
Any exposure for this guy is good. **** he hasn't fought since.............I can't remember, it's been so long. He need's to be fighting 3-4 times a year.
