Did all of you not read where I said "PPV or Free". I don't mind paying for the fight one bit but where I am staying they do not have PPV tv. Read a little closer next time guys.
Shanks you are an idiot man. Stop being such an asshole. I would gladly pay whatever it took to be able to watch this fight. If it is on the internet for $50 fine. If it is on for $0. Fine. I just want to watch the damn fight.
Take the tampon out before you get on this board son.
Weebler you are crazy. Dirrell landed the cleaner shots and BOXED. His style is to stay at a distance and box not get in a phone booth and slug it out. OH!!! and don't forget when he did exchange close he is the one that hurt Froch!
He is avoided bc 1. he isn't a flashy high profile fighter and beating him only gets you cred with boxing insiders. the genral public could give a damn. 2. he is tough as hell, cant be hurt with a sledgehammer, and he never stops pressing. bad bad combo and it forces people to box and run all night. his style and granite chin make everyone look like they are running from him the entire night.
wow you guys are pathetic.
You can't even admit that for a 40 year athlete (ok 39 jeez) he is amazing.
No he is not the guy he was years ago and no he cannot beat everyone out there right now. THAT IS NOT THE POINT. You should have all watched what he did tonight in amazment. 40 years old and that kind of handspeed and physical shape is just a freak of nature.
Restless- again...you are the one that brought Bernard in this thread. I simply said that roy for his age is a freak. can you not even admit that?
(btw as you know they already fought in their primes...and...welll....you know)
Even taking weight out of the equation Roy is a better fighter....especially if we are talking about prime vs prime. Factor weight in and it isn't even worth talking about. Floyd DOA.
Dwiens- I think you are missing the point a little man. Jones went YEARS without even losing a ROUND. All those fighters you named are not even in the same world as a prime Roy Jones.
yes this was a VERY early build and supposedly looks nothing like the actual game. either way who gives a crap about the graphics. if this plays like real boxing then i will be happy.
supposed to be released in spring/summer
bullshit stories? oh you mean the ones about beating hopkins....James toney...winning the middleweight title....all the way up to heavy? those "bullshit stories"?
you need to get a cat scan son.
I hate how roy goes to the ropes and covers up. In fact he has done it a lot in his career even in his prime when fighters rushed him. When he was young it did not make one difference because he would eventually move away and the massacre would continue. Now days it is just scary to see. I hope Roy Kos this kid...but I predict Roy UD.
um dude he is a natural super middleweight who beat a heavy. to say what you just said shows your ignorance and blind hatered. the fact that you are in here even talking and crying like a little bitch after roy won shows you are nothing but a bitter hater. so keep talking son...just proves my point.
Great fight for boxing...
Judah showed a lot of heart and Cotto showed that he is for real. I don't think the rematch would be any different but i hated to see the brutal low blows that Judah took. That would affect any man.
Chavez Jr. looked good again and i think it is time he steps up the competition.
Chad Dawson would destroy Tarver.
Soto vs Pac was a war! I want to see Soto vs Manny now!
This fight isn't off according to FightNews.com.....
Jones and Hanshaw Ready!
Tuesday, June 26 2007
It’s clear that both Roy Jones Jr. and his next opponent, Anthony Hanshaw, are looking to use a victory over each other as a springboard into the fights they truly want. During a telephone conference to discuss their upcoming light heavyweight showdown on July 14 at Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi, Mississippi, both Jones and Hanshaw revealed their dream opponents. “I can’t wait to get to it (a fight with Felix Trinidad), but first I have to deal with Anthony Hanshaw. I’m not taking anybody lightly. First I’ll stop Anthony Hanshaw and then I’ll stop Felix Trinidad,” revealed the former champion. Hanshaw, meanwhile, says a win over Jones would put him in place to settle an old score: “A win will open a lot of doors for me. I’m moving up in weight for this fight, but after this, I’m moving back down to super middleweight. I really want to fight Jermaine Taylor. That’s who beat me in the Olympic trials two weeks before my dad died. That’s who I really want. I wasn’t focused against Taylor. I beat Kelly Pavlik and Sergio Mora, but my mind was not in the fight.”Jones and Hanshaw both say they’ll be at their best on fight night. “I’m anxious and in the best shape of my life and ready to go. I will absolutely knock him out,” growled Hanshaw. “I love the sport, I love my fans. I miss my fans. I want to give them a show to look at with a good opponent,” Jones responded. “I can’t wait for the opportunity to show you all that I ain’t through yet.”
