He knew he had to throw punches and he was fighting the pain barrier you could see him grimacing everytime he threw punches as if he was in discomfort.

It's like someones few introductions to NBA. Do you show them Tim Duncun, or Jason Kidd, or do you show them Michael Jordan or any other exciting baller?
Floyd is a pure technician, and those sorts of fighters, who are also not aggressive have always been boring boxing, and he could've taken more chances, tried to hurt Pac, and finish him off. But he did the smart thing, in a way. Smart just to win, but not smart for history, his legacy, or for boxing. This was his shot to be written into the history books, but he's so obsessed with being smart in the ring, he missed his shot at true greatness.
Holyfield, Tyson, Ali, those 80s middleweights, all took chances, and captured our imaginations. Floyd bored the world on boxing's biggest stage. You don't realise how much the casuals think Floyd is a pathetic coward who ran and hugged the whole fight.
Floyd could've done more, he made a huge blunder.

I agree, Walters will punish him from the outside, waiting until Loma gets desperate, than floor him multiple times.
He has a good jab, but I should have been more specific, I think he throws wide hooks. Don't think I'm trying to make Walters look bad, but as you can see from my avatar I'm a huge Lomachenko fan, so I'm riding for my guy and I'm trying to see what mistakes (or mistakes I feel I see), to see what Loma will be able to do in there.
I like Walters a lot and won't root against him besides Loma, But my boy Lomachenko has to take it!
It's a fight that has to happen and I hope a loss won't affect any of them. They can still go on to have a successful career after their fight.
The thing with me is, I dont think Loma can effectively fight Walters on the inside. I think he will eventually get dropped trying to fight in close and than beat up pretty bad on the outside. The reach advantage is pretty big.
His chin held up well against a full-blown welterweight in Salido. I'm not sure how heavy Walters gets after rehydrating, but he's going to need everything including the kitchen sink to put Loma away.
This right here is why Loma is overhyped.. This is a fight Walters can win, he can drop Loma, and finish him. The kitchen sink? Walters can just fight safe and win a decision. Walters has a strong jab, thats hurts, he can hurt you with his jab and follow up with his other punches.
For the people picking Loma, how do you actually see him winning this fight? He will have to outwork Walters and get inside on him but it wont happen. Walters will control distance and hurt Loma when he gets desperate. I also believe Walters would KO salido as well.

He WILL outwork Walters no doubt... He will neutralize Walter's jab and reach with incredible foot work and angles. Walter will be searching for that one big shot all night.
Walters is a great fighter but he doesn't have Floyd's speed to match his reach. I.E. he won't be able to frustrate Loma the way that Floyd is able to frustrate his opponents.
Also, you guys forget that Loma is a very naturally strong dude... watch some of his training videos... doing one arm pull ups, he's got those huge arms... He's a muscular guy... He might not be quite as powerful and heavy handed as Walters but he has power...
I believe that both fighters chins will be tested like never before in this fight.

Great fight! Can't wait. I think Walters has become a little overrated since his two big wins over Darch and Donaire. Very good fighter, but I think his power is a little overdone. Donaire had nearly just been shut out by 40 year Darchinyan, then got his ass kicked by someone in his prime in Walters.
So I think Loma should win this one, but it'll certainly be dangerous for him. Walters size shouldn't be too much of a factor either because Loma is a pretty big, solid dude himself. Great matchup though.
It's awesome that Loma is jumping straight into these top fights. He's like those crazy Thai guys that come straight into title fights after 2, 3, or 4 fights. They've got the experience behind them so why not? Gives them more time at the top instead of wasting a few years trying to get to the top slowly.

Yeah, I actually think Loma beats Rigo rather easily. He's just going to find a way to rough Rigo up imo. That's what he'll need to do to make it an easier night instead of both trying to box, which they're both great at. Rigo is fragile imo.
I agree Loma would only keep improving, the only thing that worries me is that he's had hand problems the last two fights. I hope he doesn't have fragile hands. Maybe it's because he doesn't sit down on his punches or they haven't found a way to properly wrap his hands as a pro or who knows what it could be.
I think Loma is ready for Walters now, they shouldn't let it marinate. Loma has bigger fish to fry in the future. Loma is going to have to be cautious especially in the early rounds against Walters. Walters throws pretty wide shots, I feel like Loma would be able to work in between those shots. Walters has been dropped and hurt before so he might not have a great chin. Marriaga, although untested, can present trouble for Walters for sure.

Walters very dangerous , he can rough up Loma just with the jab, but when he gets him with the hooks and uppercuts im thinkin Loma going to sleep.
Loma has better speed too and phenomenal defense, and he certainly has enough power to keep other fighters "honest"... like Floyd who isn't a huge heavy hitter but has enough power to keep those big hitters off him.

Walters has a weird punching style. He throws weird looking punches, he does have a sneaky uppercut though. To you it may not seem like he has a weird punching style. You know, I read a bunch of posts about this fight, and I think alot of you will be shocked by the outcome. Walters doesn't need to load up on his power shots.He can throw a little uppercut and drop you.
