i dont know what they worked on in camp but floyds always been able to land that lead right laser on southpaws. ghost did his best n pressed from bell to bell. floyd clearly won more rounds, imo had at least one dominant round where i started to think he was gonna go for it somewhere around the 8 or 9, whichever round it was, he dominated that one. if u a floyd fan u say dominated or picked ghost apart but if u honest u say floyd did his thing landing precision counters outlanding ghost 2 or 3 to one and took a clear decision. that scatback jumpin bean dance he was doin in there in the twelf shows u how quick his feet still are and dispells the use of the word dominant. if he did dominate, he woulda went on and chopped up ghost which is exactly what woulda happened if ghost woulda went in blind swingin. ghost fought the best he could, there's no simple plan to beat floyd.
also, i think if the winner of the mathysse-peterson fight fights danny garcia, then the winner of that fight becomes a viable opponent for floyd at catchweight. whoever it is dont have a chance in hell against floyd but will be big enough name to sell. 5 more fights for what they payin showtime will want big enough events. u know? right now, who is mathysse? is that maravillas little brother or what? u know?
im as serious as i was when i picked ghost to win thinkin all the recent changes floyd went thru would take off his focus. how wrong can i b? thats a good fight right there, nobodys gonna trap floyd on the ropes and beat him up. ghost kept trying and thats all u can do. that was as good as it gets. cotto tried too, no cigar. shane won like 2 rounds. oscar started packin up about halfway thru the fight. canelo? he weighs more but he's onlly 5'8' and for all his accurate sharp punching, he's not so difficult to hit and v floyd will b matched with a faster precise hitter who is defensively invisible. i dont think thats a mystery to team canelo so look for them to defer the match until he gets a few more key wins under his belt to max out the purse n then they'll make the fight
floyds gonna lose this one. too much goin on his life. gettinoutta jail, working with dad again. his mind wont b in it. he'll start gettin hit n ask himself what do he need with this? he'll hear a voice telling him there's more to life than this. he'll quit between rounds. also, guerrero's gonna do whatever it takes. he will not b apologizing in the ring or talking or being distracted by talking. he took berto's best shots so floyd aint gonna hurt him. if he has to shove floyd or cuff him with one hand to hit him with the other, that's what he'll do and not have any problem with it. and another thing, almost without fail whenever someone gets a big multi fight deal, it usually gets derailed very early in the course of that deal. and here's one more reason, with the shocking footstompin (jmm left foot on pac right foot) ko of pacman, floyd is now the undeniable king of the game and he's got a bullseye on his back so dont b shocked if the judges have oddly given guererro more of the close rounds. guerrero'sgonna take this one so b sure u have your fight watchin plan set for saturday. where were u when ghost got floyd? well, i was gettin a lapdance cuz i figured floyd was gonna win easy again. dont miss this one
imo ghost did better than cotto, had Floyd jumpin around like shabadoo in round 12. ghost did his best and never quit comin. lost on points but gave Floyd biggest challenge since the delahoya fight. great fight
finally seen it last nite. not a onesided fight but ghost won at most 4 rounds. never let up even chased Floyd all over in the last round. dam good fight
how he got so popular? he done won every fight on his record. got some great exposure on undercards. fought well known fighters. been managed not too carefully but correctly. remember when cotto chubby lightweight brother rocked canelo? canelo mgnmt must all have sht they pants some. but canelo won that one too. one more thing, canelo is hittable and dont have one shot power. these are very important things too. u might not think of it consciously but might u be a bit reluctant to wannna see a fight that might only last 25 seconds? and u know the general public is sadistic enough to want to see a fighter who takes hits instead of a fighter who never gets hit. anyway, he just passed his biggest test to date and imo has earned his shot a the bigs
your first time u look fine. definitely dril with trainer on head movement until it becomes natural habitual. keep on working and learning nn u will improve. good luck champ
omg an injury in boxing? no fggn way! i did notice that he got rocked but wasnt on queer street and went down real awkwardly but thats the game. also wanna add red clearly won that fight. u can say that he only landed like 3-4 punches a round n its true but that had as much to do with trout box from outside fight plan which is the same fiight plan that got trout the close but clear points win over cotto. red deserves his shot at the big time, i would still pick floyd over red but make red at least even money against the other names at or around 154, well no i mean up to 154. he's not a middleweight yet
he'll have to do more to get into the hall but that movement was incredible and the left cross so fast donaire couldnt seem to see it coming. u got that? not the right jab which is the lead hand a foot and a half closer but the left cross. i thought i was halucinatin. great skills, great fighter but 2b a legend u gotta do it over time and a run of a career. iv seen rig fight a couple times before and never seen him that surgically precise. imo the most intriguin match for him now is the one tha mightb the most boring, anselmo moreno. mares showed how to get moreno but can rigo fight that rough aggressive style? anyway, im impressed as hell n loved the fight n the fact that they didnt give it to the name guy like they usually do. the right guy won
id say hopkins trinidad, in the boxing perspective, the champwho took one lousy purse bidded mandatory defense after another, for example fightin the dangerous antwun echols on fox cable for, fromwhat i understand something like 50k, he finally breaks thru on a ppv stage to show what he was doing all along. whuppin every 160lb contender in sight. in the bigger picture, the fight occurred only a couple weeks from 9/11 showing everyone both the terrorists and the terrorized that boxing will go on.
