I don't think he dominated either, but I do think he won the fight.
I had Canelo winning by 2 points.
Lol nothing wrong with that. I just seen it as a trout win

That was a difficult interview, as the guy was mostly non-commital. That said, he did make a great point about the crowd and it's influence.
During the fight, I kept wondering: Am I in an episode of the Twilight Zone or something, why are these announcers praising Canelo so much when he's being outworked and mostly just punchng in spurts?
Now I get it. With thousands of fans getting excited every time Canelo even blew his nose, of course it seemed as if he was in perfect control of the fight.
In reality, however, if Canelo had been in perfect control of the fight, he would have pursued a knock out, as he clearly had more punching power and the ability to hurt Trout.
Canelo didn't do that, however, because he himself knew that it was an unnecessary risk, and that things would go his way with the crowd and the scoring regardless of how the fight was going.
All Canelo had to do to win this fight was show up and not get knocked out.
Lol pretty much yeah

omg an injury in boxing? no fggn way! i did notice that he got rocked but wasnt on queer street and went down real awkwardly but thats the game. also wanna add red clearly won that fight. u can say that he only landed like 3-4 punches a round n its true but that had as much to do with trout box from outside fight plan which is the same fiight plan that got trout the close but clear points win over cotto. red deserves his shot at the big time, i would still pick floyd over red but make red at least even money against the other names at or around 154, well no i mean up to 154. he's not a middleweight yet
Twisted his ankle getting rocked? Not excuse worthy IMO.
Regardless. Truly bad ankle sprains are incapacitating. Trout could stand. He could move. He was just fine.
Awe yes, when you lose your always injured.
If you weren't injured then you were weight drained.
If you failed a drug test, you only failed it due to extenuating circumstances(IE: CONTAMINATION!!!!)
I pay no mind to these reasons, I just go by the results in ring.
It easily could have been judged a 10-9 round. Alvarez got the knockdown five seconds in, and spent the rest of the round doing nothing while Trout fought back admirably and pretty much dominated the round.
wrong, trout did start winning the round at the 1:18 mark of the round, so how did he win the majority of the round? nor did he dominate enough to win that round people just let the way things are perceived to dictate their scoring but thats not how rounds are judged.
A good judge will make cliff notes (that why you see them writing inbetween rounds) so they dont forget what going on. Everyone who have the fight on dvd or download can clearly see canelo scored the KD which makes it at 10-9 round and then he goes on to win the round all the way to the last 1:18 where trout won the reminder so canelo won more of the round and scored the KD which makes it a 10-8 round.
Trout didnt win the last 1:18 in such a fashion that you will give him the round over canelo work in the 3:00-1:18 mark of the fight.
Easy 10-8 Round for Canelo.
No judge would have had that round 10-9.

that's true.
they had a one way rematch clause.
of course they did... not like they could have their precious Canelo lose and then not make up an excuse and rematch him.
I was just posting an interesting video. Trout didn't say it his coach did lol. If anything people should like him more.
But no people take it as an excuse lol
I know it wasn't him, reason I said people are trying to go out of their way to make people dislike Trout, even though he didn't say it.
No judge would have had that round 10-9.

:lol1:
could've easily been a 10-9 round. man, trout had no chance to win this fight unless he got the knockout... all alvarez had to do was get off his stool and answer the damn bell.
no way it could have been a 10-9 rd, he got caught with big shots and buckled again after the kd
It depends on the individual. My nephew got into a fight at a bar, and when he stepped off the bar he broke his ankle.
He didn't know he had broken it, continued to fight and then for 2 days thought it was just a sprain.
I'm sure Trout was feeling pain there, but with the adrenalin he probably didn't feel much other than stiffness I'm guessing.
My understanding is that Trout injured his ankle during the KD, and only noticed the extent of the damage after the fight. Good for him that he was able to continue. These types of awkward KDs are funny to watch, but they must be painful. I guess this will be the reason if he doesn't return to the ring soon.
athletes roll ankles and play through it pretty regularly.
if you're laced tight into a high top boxing boot and you're in the middle of a fistfight you'll feel stiffness and pain, but your ankle won't keep you from fighting. after time you'll hardly even notice it, as long as you're able to stay warm, and you keep that shoe on.
it's that night and in the following days when you become sore, and your leg will swell. once he got his boxing shoes off he probably really started to get stiff.
that's true.
they had a one way rematch clause.
lol If that fight played exactly the same way and Trout won the decision there would be an immediate rematch and alot of angry biased fans
If it was so bad that it caused him to lose the fight, then he should have postponed or pulled out.
If u can't comprehend what u hear than u probably can't comprehend what I'm writing. He said the injury happened on the knockdown
All fighters/fighters team coming off a loss or poor performance cite an injury after the fight. It's becoming a trend. They are not ashamed at all.
Wth he said he injured it on the knockdown how is that an excuse
