I thought this was a thread on Joshua vs Martin, this is the reason why I rarely come in here anymore.
Heavyweight scene is buzzing right now. All 3 champions still have so many questions to be answered. Congratulations AJ.
Solid choice. I'd accept any of the following.
Johnson's gloves vs Jeffries
Louis gloves vs Schmeling
Ali gloves from Frazier 1, 3 or Forman
Duran gloves vs Leonard 1
I guess trunks would also work.
John L Sullivans original belt would be nice. Anything from Rubin Carter, for eldest son who is named after him would be great, and something of Sonny Liston who my youngest is named after.
Evander's ear.
I think a set of Tyson gloves and trunks from the late 80's.
There's definitely more valuable and significant stuff out there but a set of Tyson gear would be a real conversation piece.
Tysons shorts would look so cool on the wall.
Roy Jones Jr was highly athletic in his prime and did things I never seen in the ring and didn't get the love and the fame that he should have.
Pernell Whitaker also was another fighter who didn't get the fame he deserved for all the marvelous things he accomplished.
SRL is the only non HW fighter to gain superstardom in my lifetime.
Despite black fighters being the best or among the best in the sport since the damn near conception of the sport.....for many years. Why hasn't a black non HW fighter got true Superstardom?
Just maybe Floyd ain't that crazy!!!!!
And if i am wrong....please correct me and name the black fighter who was the best in sport and had the Superstardom and carried the sport.
Gerald McClellan most definatelty did.
Edit - Sorry I thought it said Supertardom not Superstardom.
wait... teletext still exists?? why the fuck can't i get it on my tv any more? thought they'd pulled the plug on it!
Nah, you can get the old teletext still and digital text.
:lol1: I thought you did. :lol1:
No, I haven't seen the new addition, I look forward to seeing that.
Hopefully he has his mother's looks. ;)
He looks f.uck all like me, the eldest is me and the youngest is like the missus.
In your dreams you sick fuk.
I couldn't eat for two days after seeing that monstrosity....
I'll see you in hell.
You lying cunt, we all saw the pm's you sent her.
And yes I'll see you in hell.
What? Did you think I was taking up for ole' baby dick at first, Stuart?
Yeah I did.
P.S. Got some nice photos of me kids and I'll post them up in Classic some time. You haven't seen the new edition yet have you.
"Her" my ass.
Besides, I'm a sucker for big titties....fuking sue me.
It happened to Eddie Murphy too. Fukin tranny's are the most conniving liars known to man.
It was a decent semi pwn, but nothing special.
How long are you gonna milk the Tuggers caper anyway you fukin hasbeen???
Time for some new material.
Better to be a hasbeen than a never was.
You just can't let poor Tuggers get over it, can you?
Hasn't the poor prick suffered enough?
Of course he hasn't ; I shake my head at that pathetic piece of skin he calls a cock.
You starting?
He was most definitely out of shape, he came in at a career high weight I believe and looked much rounder in the belly.
Vitali was throwing a lot of punches in the fight, I think he was throwing upwards of 70 or 80 punches a round, which is a very high pace for heavyweights, it's understandable that he was tired.
Exactly, he threw everything at the supposedly weak chinned Lewis and couldn't budge him, even old and out of shape. How would he have beat a prime Lewis, he wouldn't.
Of course I believe that Lewis was out of shape, he was fighting a supposedly easy opponent in Kirk Johnson (which is Lewis' own mistake), Vitali was already preparing for a fight on the undercard so how could he not be in shape?
I'm with you on this silencers, Lewis was definately out of shape. How out of shape Vitali was I'm not sure but although Lewis was looking tired, as the fight went on his punches were getting better (more snap and stronger) whereas Vitali was blowing harder than Lewis.
Watch the fight again Vitali is open mouthed from the 4th round onwards and stumbling forward like a drunk and holding at every opportunity.
Lewis would have fucked him bad had the fight gone on, there was nothing left in Klits punches and Lewis had already taken his best no problem.
In Lewis prime Vitali would get KTFO in 8 rounds, and Lewis would then go on to KTFO Wlad in 3 on the same night.
I don't think Cotto would have won at 140. Cotto chin was weak and Hatton would aply too much pressure. From what I've seen, I belive Hatton would have won. At 147 Cotto K.O's him
My thoughts exactly, I wonder how many would agree with me now considering the result of last nighs fight.
Cotto is much better now than he was 3 years ago, and he couldn't cope with the constant pressure being apllied to him.
3 years ago at 140, Hatton would have won a decision or stopped Cotto late.
The general consensus was for Hatton to stay away if he still want to be a boxer, And am glad he took that advise..There is NO point in my risking getting hurt by cotto even back in 2005.
IMO he needed to fight him back in 2005, he had a small window of opportunity then. He was in his prime and Cotto was still growing and learning.
I think Hatton had a very good chance of beating him back then.
I'd like to know where Tony's Mullet stands on the ATG hairstyle list.
No.2 and right behind Tottenham Hotspur and England legend Chris Waddle.

I have to say, the camera cutting to his wife and kids crying did put me off a bit and I'm sure I'm not the only one. I didn't like seeing his face being wrecked either.
That wasn't a nice sight at all, and I personally if I were a boxer ever have my kids at ringside.
your right on the money on this one.
hatton is a real smart fighter. Who lost to the best fighter since SRL. while Cotto lost AM. Hatton has better skills then Cotto.
WTF, I love Hatton but he hasn't a tenth of the skill of a Miguel Cotto. Get fucking real.
Not if the WW in question had a better defence and was more difficult to hit. I won't say the name because you know who I mean.
I take you point though, Margarito is a hard man indeed.
I did mean active and I would still love to see Cotto vs You know Who. Styles make fights and I see that as very intruiging, but I don't see Cotto winning it though, but it would be close.
Cotto was immense in defeat and never quit he gave it his all. Sensible taking them knees and he will be able to come again, just not against Margarito.
Styles make fights.
