Should Hatton have fought Cotto

Hatton went after THE man at 140 in tsyzu and then he went after THE man in boxing which was Floyd Mayweather. Cotto did'nt go after anyone and imo for all the hype about Cotto his resume is POOR. At 140 Hatton beats Cotto, Cotto looks very chinny and was knocked about by Paulie. Cotto is not all that imo and hes just been beat of a guy with 4 loses. I like watching cotto but even at 147 cotto does not knock Hatton out

My thoughts exactly, I wonder how many would agree with me now considering the result of last nighs fight. Cotto is much better now than he was 3 years ago, and he couldn't cope with the constant pressure being apllied to him. 3 years ago at 140, Hatton would have won a decision or stopped Cotto late. Yes, he should have fought him when Cotto was still at 140 with increasing stamina and chin problems due to making weight becoming harder for him.

When the Englishman Hatton fought and destroyed the great Tszyu I felt that he could go on to become one of the greatest fighters of all time. However, he did not look after himself enough and ate the wrong stuff. I like the man because of all he does for African charities, and he is a good boxer as he has been a World Champion for years and years, but he will never be one of the best British fighters of all time. By the way, I feel that the referee was absolutely fair towards Ricky when he fought Mayweather.

it all depends on what weight. hatton is still king at 140. imo he did well against lazcano coming off a ko loss to floyd. i mean he won 9 rounds to 3 on my scorecard. having said that it wasnt the hatton we all no pre-floyd

if ricky didn't run back down to 140 every time he had a hicup at 147 this fight could've been made.

You mean Warren wouldn't let Hatton fight Cotto? NO he ask what happened to the Hatton/pinto fight, remember the fight was suppose to happen just like Sharmba Mitchell was suppose to fight Hatton? I meant Warren mess up the fight, He would promise a fighter X amount of money then he would try to go back on the agreement.
