Hatton didn't 'hug and maul' him as you suggest. He totally out boxed him that night and consistently landed the jab, much like Khan tonight. Stop hating.
So obvious what Floyd is doing here. He knows his PPV numbers are gonna blow as everyone knows he will destroy Maidana to a UD. He wants to use Khan to get his PPV up as he is a big name worldwide. Floyd just dropped to an all new low, if that was even possible. Killing the sport, he has no shame.
Emmanuel Steward ... what a prick.
"Murray showed courage unlike british fighters"
BULL**** statement. The man should issue a public apology to British people asap.
While Andre deserved to win, I do not believe he put on the display that many are boasting. He will never be a superstar of the sport in my mind as he is far too constant with the punch and hold tactics. While there is nothing wrong with that, it doesn't exactly make for an exciting fight. Froch was trying his hardest to exchange and keep the fight at relative distance, but Ward was having none of it(and rightly so) but still, I struggled to enjoy this one. Similarly to Holyfield and Hopkins(while greats) ... not really the kinda fighters that excite me. Many would have you believe the inside game would suit Froch more ... **** knows why, the guy has never been great on the inside. The ref was perfectly suited to Andre's tactics in my mind and it was telling. Most US refs would split the fight on a constant basis but this guy was old school(not too dissimilar to british refs).
While Andre has clearly established himself as the best in his division, he certainly isn't the most exciting. If you wish to see perfection, look no further than Floyd Mayweather, a true superstar of the sport.
Where is Ricky Hatton? The guy has lost 1 fight at 147 against the p4p best. He is undefeated at 140 and he gets no respect ... disgusting to be fair. Chad Dawson? Come on now ...
British fighters haven't had the greatest technicians historically, but if there is one character trait you cant dismiss is it most certainly thier courage. What a prick Steward is.
