Christ on a bike!
No. No. No.
It should always be a battle of who is the best fighter, not a battle of who has taken the best substances.
Exactly.....allowing it is completely ridiculous. I think testing for banned substances should be compulsory in all title fights, if not all licenced boxing. All the drugs cheats can nosh off to unlicensed or illegal boxing where they belong. Putting lives at risk and ruining careers.....bellends!
Haye has the speed, agility and power to beat any of the heavyweights including joshua (at the moment) except Wlad and Fury.....maybe some other really big and technical fighters who won't let Haye get inside and deliver. Sounds like ustinov gave Haye a beating in sparring too.
Got to admit it, I didn't think he'd beat Klitschko, although I knew he'd come out of the fight having earned a bunch of respect and new fans. I used to think he was all mouth and used to cherrypick and avoid good mandatories. But he's put his money where his mouth is in beating the undisputed champion so easily and you have to respect him for that. Hope he faces good competition in the future.
Wlad said this guy is the real deal, I'll take his word for it.
I like big Josh but in all fairness Wladmir did say the same about David Price. Manny Stewart was right on the money though when he said a while back that Price may not have it in him whereas Fury has the heart to rule the division.......He knew!....shame he's gone. RIP
Idu some of these thread titles with what the boxer says sometimes. Its like boxing scene just wants me to click on a article for no reason or maybe they get paid by article click or something weird like that idk.
Yup they just want to get you to click because the more clicks they get, the more they can sell advertising space for. This is exactly why on another boxing site (news24) the very man who owns it writes in under aliases constantly running down British and European fighters because he knows boxing is very popular there and they are a lot more vocal in their responses.
I'm leaning toward Cotto being daft if he takes this fight. If he thinks Margarito annihilated him in their first fight with his (probably) loaded hand wraps... he's in for a real dismantling that will in all likelihood end his career.
Cotto vs Golovkin would be a great tear up......I can see Cotto landing a hard counter early which gets Golovkins attention. Furthermore having some success on the inside and will come straight at GGG, keeping him on the back foot. Mid rounds Golovkin lands some hard shots which turns the fight on its head. Cotto is backing up now.Triple G drops him hard in the 12th, Cotto gets up and after taking massive punishment the ref stops the action.
Why is this news? Wlad always fights in the US. He just fought Jennings here.
Not always....but on occasion. I think the jennings fight was the first there since 08ish?
Either way he thinks the "home town" advantage would favour him......well, maybe if boxings dark forces are at work and conjure up another USA controversial decision.......a punchers chance is all hes got anywhere on the globe. Don't listen to this dick though wlad you dictate the terms!
I was interested to hear Haye talking about Fury’s strengths as an insight to his mind and what he felt he was facing when they were planning a fight. It seems Haye does actually respect fury as a fighter.....probably even more than he's earned, despite the bad mouthing.
TE=-Weltschmerz-;16243194]Wouldn't be surprised if Fury gets DQ'ed.
Yeah especially if he's ahead on the cards.....or maybe a few points taken from Fury for minor infringements.
Nah, what am I saying?? Fury isn't gonna be up on the scoresheet anyways. His only reasonable chance is with aggression and going for a Ko.
.....but is it not the daftest thing you have ever heard......."he doesn't have no education" kind of ironic eh?
And about the monkey thing. I know a couple of white lads who just happen to look like monkeys. nothing to do with anything other than those individuals appearances. I'm sure there is the occasional black person who resembles one. And as evidence I can say I've been party to one black man calling another a gorilla. So that kind of proves my point.
pascal is jumping to conclusions on a very serious claim. How can pascal say he was calling him that because he was black when he may in his eyes individually resembled one. I know what it looks like but you need more than a hunch to make such a claim ot face litigation.
Price is done. And i dont think the cheating had any effect on him loosing these fights to be honest.
Doesn't matter what anyone thinks about how much the peds had an affect on the outcome of the fight.....the contest wouldn't have even taken place if it was known before of their drug cheating.. Therefore a no contest. Furthermore if intent can be proven and/or use of obvious performance enhancers are present, the cheat should be fined his entire purse plus damages, banned for life and due to any damage caused to any opponents, possibly a custodial sentence to boot. This is what they need to do in order to stamp it out along with compulsory tests after fights by an independent authority.
It's commonly used to make fun of them. It is also used in Soccer towards black players. Fans throw bananas and make monkey sounds towards black players on the field. I know that you have to be in your late 20s or 30s and know the answer to your question. It's impossible to not know why people use monkeys to compare to Black people.
We all know that Is used......that is not in doubt. But you say it is impossible to not know WHY people use it. Explain to me why.
So what? I didn't know hbo just has to televise all his mandatory fights
Fighting your mandatory is a good thing....it's what you expect champions to do, for a while at least.....yes mohammedi was third rate but that's not Kov"s fault. Facing a **** mandatory is still far better than a champion ducking a quality mandatory.......insert name here!________
Who in the Blue Hell is Johann Duhaupas?
You know, that fresh, iron chinned, ko specialist champion in waiting. (#12wbc #34boxrec, 34yr old, 59% ko ratio who was outboxed conclusively tby the likes of teper and pianetta).
What a disgraceful ****ing robbery! Only in America do we **** our own fighters and give it to the other guy. You would have had to knock the guy out to win in the UK. ****ing shameful ! Degale did nothing after the knockout and Dirrell jabbing and putting in combinations all night. So sorry Andre.
I've alays known it to be the USA to be the home of corrupt judging, bias referees, hometown decisions, controversial scoring, tampered mits and performance enhancing drugs....We do have some ****e refs at the moment but generally there is far less corruption and judging is honest and fair.
That's what the Bible tells me........ Oh yeah that quality source for morality. I wonder if he's going to quote the bit in the Bible that says you can sell your daughter for slavery, cause that's what the Bible tells him....somehow I think he'll forget about the things it says that he doesn't agree with.
I have warmed to Fury but this Bible bashing talk is not just last year, it's last century. Thought religion was becoming extinct in the UK.
You sound like a little b!tch you fckin stiff
You sound just like a little uppity b!tch
A little uppity private school b!tch
You like to look down on the less fortunate you little spoonfed b!tch?
Run back to where you were raised where it's safe before I fuc k you in your pretty little ass you little stuck up b!tch
Nah, well educated people would have used punctuation marks. Don't give this pretentious twat any sort of credit.
Despite Bradleys lack of power, I think his speed and relentlessness at this stage in floyds career would make for a very competitive matchup..... There is a reason floyd hasn't fought him yet and it definitely isn't due to him not being a big enough name because he's fought many guys who are lesser regarded and less talented.
Kovalev can't take a punch, he can only give it
What fight is that based on??.....anyway whatever Stevenson says here it's all pointless because kov is tied to exclusive rights with hbo which he cannot break for fear of litigation. Stevenson was quiet as a mouse (remember the stuttering and stalling when kellerman asked him about it after that bout) untill he discovered the particulars of Kov"s contract and now he's shouting off knowing it can't possibly happen.....the krusher from Russia knows exactly what he is.....a piece of ****.....and may I add...the biggest ***** in the sport.
Finally someone who also thinks fury is garbage. Man he looks terrible I don't know what it is the british see in him that makes them think he can beat wlad the ONE REAL HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD.
If wilder could take a few fights and continue to improve his skillset he might be able to challenge for the world championship someday.
Here's an insight for ya.............most British fight fans and casual fans don't like Fury, a fact he himself acknowledges.
I don't want to see Khan vs Floyd either......just another easy fight for Money. Possibly another ko on his record. I want to see him face GGG too but I think the weight draining would nullify his strength........Mayweather 12 UD.
Great, great, great fight. I need to see this.
I can't wait to see it too......but I fear with Ward's Clinch n headbutt style it may not be the most fan-friendly fight, and i Believe there's a high chance of it being stopped on cuts. . But i sure hope Kovalev destroys the cheatin bastard!
why did you list these??? they arnt even American
I know, but if you'd be kind enough to read it once more you will see I never specified America, rather "the Americas" as a reposte to the accusation of European sport being rife with peds....I admit I was US-CENTRIC in my list which is because they were higher profile cases and more common to rapid research.
I think fury will lose this fight but will gain a lot of respect from fans around the world for his fighting heart and bravery. He'll get dropped maybe a couple of times but will make it to the final bell and have occasional successes hurting Wladmir on the way.
This is par of the course in Europe. Most European boxers are doping and it is being covered up.
Yeah the Americas are totally different are they not?

NAW ward beats him easy...he backs right up when he's pressured by a double jab..and he doesnt look for shots to come after that...or he stands his ground and runs you into a clinch...but with ward in a clinch he'll catch a bit of beat down if he does not work..and he never works in the clinch...he has not shot at outjabbing ward...
i stopped givving ggg a shot after saturday..he would try to box with ward and lord knows he cant
I can see this fight going similar to Hopkins/Kovalev, where the European fighter shows his boxing prowess in giving the American a lesson in the noble art.
Golovkin would establish distance and start to work off a strong jab which will keep Ward at distance for most of the fight. On occasion he'll rush into close range getting caught with flush, punishing blows on the way in, but will have a modicum of success via use his head, elbows and whatever he can. Golovkin could get cut......but will gain a unanimous points victory.
Contrary to what the Fury camp say about going for the KO....this is all subterfuge...or shall I say plan B. Don't forget this is the biggest man fury has ever faced too, as he likes to dine on jumped up cruisers. I think he goes out orthodox for the first round keeps distance and uses the jab and tries to outbox wlad.....I think at some point he switches to lefty, where he is a better boxer and not at risk of the overhand right and stays there a while. Here he will get dropped by a left hook......this is the point where plan b comes in and he just goes shatface mental.and gets the crowd behind him.
Good win for Fury. I thought it was won in a similar way to how Klitschko beat David Haye in being the bigger man using reach, movement and feints to stop the smaller puncher from committing to anything. I also like how he took advantage of Wladmir's willingness to clinch because everything he came in on the attack Fury would duck low and then Klitschko would do nothing more than go for a headlock, they break and then Fury would spend another minute or two piling up more shots on the outside. Tyson was dirty in this fight. At least two of the cuts came off Fury’s head and he got a point deducted for rabbit shots. Overall he made it a very rough and unorthodox fight for a champion who likes to be the bigger, stronger technician who gets his own way. He was outreached and outhussled and wasn't shown anything that he could predict and formulate a plan against.
It's old age and no height advantage, both is why he lost. Don't understand why he is taking the rematch. He should just retire. Fury will retire him. As for David Gaye, she lost a decision to Klitty when he was still in his prime. Fury beats Gaye any day of the week, twice on Sunday.
I agree that his safety first style requires a reach advantage.....and yes, he always tries to protect a fairly shakey chin to the point where if there isn't a clear opening and clinch attack possible he won't bother.....but I disagree that he's aged over night.....this is still the same man who wiped the floor with a justifiably highly touted, but smaller Pulev.
