Why does he have to be delusional? Unless you have sparred them both hold could you know in the first place?
I don't think it's out of the question, if broner doesn't hit harder it would have more to do with weight disparity than anything else. Way to be desperate about getting emotional reactions out of fight fans, the knowledgeable fans will roll their eyes and agree it's a non story.
The problem is that Maidana has never been hit by Mayweather. There is no way he can accurately analyze this without personal experience.
For someone with no power abd good to great boxing skills he should has had quite the career. Ill personally go crazy if he beats Porter but can it happen?
I kno he has a big win over Judah but Zab didnt even show up thatnight.
the same can be said for alexander in the porter fight
Can Paulie pull off an unlikely third world title?
Paulie can beat Porter. This is a great opportunity for Paulie because of the styles. He can do it.
I remember watching him on friday night fights as a prospect. At the time, Kostya Tyszu was the champion and fighters like Micky Ward, Gatti, Urango, Mitchell and Hatton roamed. I didnt think he had a snow balls chance in hell to win a title at 140, let alone one at 147 to boot.
What I did like about Paulie was his confidence and he made the most out of what God gave him. He had good speed but not blazing, good defense but not impregnable and he couldnt break an egg. The jury was out if he was all style and no substance
I always rooted for him but was never sure how far I thought he'd go. After the loss to Cotto, he earned my respect as not just being a loud mouth soft puncher, but a fighter. I was so upset when he got robbed against Juan Diaz but he won the rematch.
Im pulling for Paulie to beat Porter. My mind says Porter, my heart is with Paulie.
Paulie is definitely going through a resurgence. I never thought this would be possible after Khan beat the stuffing out of him.
And this is the man that Mayweather, Alvarez and Golovkin fear? A rookie Julian Williams KO Hernandez under 3 rounds and Berto in 1.
In my Clay Davis voice "5HIIIIIIIITTTTTT!!!!!"
Lara also goes life and death with a certain child pedophile and an Armenian.
No. It doesn't work that way.
I mean there's so many good fights to be made from 140-147. But what have we got on the horizon, Paulie-Porter, I mean not exactly setting the world a light is it?
Peterson, Khan, Broner, Thurman, Matthyse, Guerrero, Alexander all haven't been given opponents. There's so many good fights that can be made.
I think GBP are hesitant to match their fighters together. Which is why we're seeing fights like karass-Thurman paulie-porter possibly khan-callazo when we should be seeing fights like Danny Garcia-Peterson khan-broner Thurman-Guerrero and so on and so forth. Heck, Ortiz should be made as a gate keeper.
I'm not a fan of the company but I have to give the devil his due. GBP has made some outstanding fights.
In what ways is Rigo an 'incomplete' boxer?
Doesn't fight on the inside enough for my taste. He would rather bore us to tears by waiting on the back foot to counter.
Let's imagine Guillermo Rigondeaux was a full-fledged 147-pounder... that his size was increased proportionally and equally until he was the same size as Mayweather.
Could he outpoint Floyd Mayweather?
I think Rigo has the style to beat Mayweather (on points).
He's black, fast, elite lateral movement, and has powerful counter punches.
Mayweather's style works best against opponents with limited athleticism. Rigo's black; he's got that rhythm.
I don't think so. Truthfully I don't care much either way as both are very boring and uneventful.
I'm not going to lie. I would LOVE to see this fight. You can argue that neither deserves a title shot but if the WBO can make it happen, I'm all for it. You have two of the hottest prospects in boxing both with a lot to prove. Two standout amateurs, one a two time Olympic Gold Medalist and the other a Golden Gloves National champion and the 2011 prospect of the year.
But this is boxing and fights like this don't happen. So instead of getting excited for it, I'm taking bets on who will kill the fight first:
Team Russell: GBP, Haymon and corner
Team Lomachenko: Top Rank, management and corner.
Russell and his team have no stones. They get my vote.
On a recent radio show Wilder said he'll knock Wladimir Klitschko out quicker than anyone else has before.
Wlad has been knocked out 3 times in total -
in 2 rounds by Sanders (0:27 seconds of round 2),
5 rounds by Brewster
and 11 rounds by Purity.
Can Wilder knock Wlad out within 0:26 seconds of the 2nd round?
No, Wilder will get KO'd faster. A loud mouth thug has never been successful against a Klitschko. Ask Derrick Jefferson. In fact, I believe Wilder is another Jefferson with more height.
The World Boxing Organization has ordered Gary Russell Jr. (24-0, 14 KOs), the WBO's mandatory challenger, and number 5 ranked Vasyl Lomachenko (1-1) to fight each other for the vacant WBO featherweight title. The two sides have 30 days to reach an agreement before the match heads to a purse bid.

It's quite funny that Lomachenko, with two fights, has a more impressive resume than Russell who is nothing more than a fraud at this point.
The Russell hype will end after this fight if he has the stones to face Lomachenko.
Just as he should. It must be somewhat agitating knowing that Stevenson ran to Haymon and Showtime just to duck Kovalev so he can fight an ancient Hopkins.
Unfortunately even with all the fans disgusted at Stevenson's ducking, he doesn't seem to care.
haymon is disgracing and ruining the sport of boxing. i have never seen or heard anything as disgraceful as what he is doing in the history of the sport.
Lot of Russell hate..........
He deserves every bit of it. He's an over-hyped fraudulent fighter who has made a career out of beating sparring partners. Lomachenko has done more in his two fights than Russell has done in his entire professional career.
If Russell doesn't take this fight, it's time for him to go back to the ghetto for a career change. I don't believe Russell has the stones for this challenge.
Wlad handles himself like a boss per usual.
Both Klitschko's always handle themselves like gentleman. They are the anti Mayweather/Broner/Hopkins/Stevenson/Kirkland/Wilder.
In due time, Wlad will put Wilder in his place for being a thug who physically abuses women.
