Lara is good but a bit inconsistent and overrated. He looked great against Trout and Williams but showed flaws in fights with Hernandez, Vanes, Molina, and Angulo. Canelo beat Angulo far more impressively than Lara did. The idea that the world's best middleweight GGG fears Lara is laughable.

The only two boxers you should ever compare against each other are the two in the ring at the same time. To compare what one fighter did on comparison to another fighter is inaccurate on so many levels. To compare boxers in general is complicated on so many levels because just because one guy did this on one night, doesn't mean he can do the same on another night.

Anyway, I would rather see Mayweather vs Lara over Maidana. I would rather see Lara vs Golovkin over anyone except Sergio. A fight with Canelo would be good too.
