These guys go way over board when making statements like the "messiah" of boxing, SMH. The heavyweight division is weaker than it's ever been so how can we tell if AJ is the real deal? How come no one is saying Pacquiao will now be ducking Khan? Sounds to me like everyone only wants to see Mayweather lose. Some people don't have a clue as to when a fighter is hurt. Mayweather was never hurt at anytime during the fight. Many McGregor fans are claiming mayweather was hurt at the start of the ninth round. If people look closely, McGregor hit Mayweather with a borderline, but fair body shot. Mayweather tried to sell it as a low blow but the referee didn't fall for it. Now if a fighter is truly hurt don't you think he would be in full retreat for remainder of the round? On the contrary, Mayweather pressed McGregor by coming forward and unleashing straight right hands and left hooks for the better part of round 9. I also believe this is where McGregor realized he was in a bad place. like a fish out of the water. Mayweather would go on to pound McGregor for the next couple of minutes before the referee stepped in and rescued Coner from suffering further damage.

Kovalev had Andre Ward hurt and couldn't finish him...That says a lot about Kovalev inability to capitalize and get the job done. Ward showed heart in regaining his bearings and sticking to a game plan that worked. People don't understand that boxers have to make adjustments during the fight and stick to what works. Ward landed the cleaner punches down the stretch and Kovalev pretty much coasted thinking he had it in the bag. A true champion doesn't let it go to the score cards, especially if your fight name is the Krusher.
First off, lampley is no expert. All he does is glorify HBO boxers. basically, he's an HBO cheerleader. Anyway, true boxing experts will tell you that Golovkin is a really good boxer who has fought B level fighters his entire career. These last two fight have been against better opposition and he hasn't fair good at all. Personally, I know Jacobs beat golovkin in their fight and now fighting Canelo (although canelo has no business fighting at 160) who is blown up, not to mention a step slower because of the added weight, golovkin couldn't trap any A level boxer. Golovkin has been managed well through out his career and now he's fighting top level boxers, most of his flaws are being exposed. In short, lamprey don't know ***** about boxing and GGG isn't deteriorating, he's just not getting better at his craft. He's not evolving into a top tier boxer, I think he's as good as he's ever gonna be and spells trouble for him.
There is no way GGG beats Hopkins. Hopkins would apply pressure all night and frustrate GGG into submission. just like he did Trinidad, Pavlik and Tarver.
