I'm not saying Danny won. I am just comparing both fights and for the reason that both guys ran last few rounds , gave oscar his first loss. But didn't work for danny. And clearly oscar won that fight. So I guess the real question is, who got screwed? Oscar or Danny
I recently found out that in amateur boxing you weigh in morning of fight and pay $5 for the weigh in and many time there is not an opponent all the time. And you wear smaller gloves I think they said 10oz for my sons size. And they judge by action so they basically want slug fest wars. We got our hands on some pro gloves 8oz Reyes and I'll tell you what. Those gloves have very soft padding and you can actually feel your knuckle through it. I know Garcia and PAC use those gloves
Cotto would knock him out within six rounds easy. **** for all that Mosley would have knocked him out. Thurman is not that great . Atleast imo, I thought porter beat him. And jell brook would beat him. Spence I'm not sure only because he hasn't really fought no one except algeiri and knocked him out.
But because he's 19 how many amateur fights do you think he should have before going pro. I see some of these guys with like 30 or so then go pro but then I see some guys with as little as ten before going pro. I know age is a factor too. His trainer think maybe amateur for a year. And we're looking at maybe two fights a month
So you guys are saying the judges did it right this time and not the other away around. It makes sense and like I said I'm not disputing the fight results but the judges are seeing stuff obviously that were not and maybe they are seeing money in their pockets . We saw Garcia rob Herrera and oscar rob Whitaker so I guess karma finally caught up with them.
I'm not not disputing the win for Thurman. I'm saying the fight was weak. And comparing it to oscar and Trinidad but the opposite results on both fights one fight the runner loses and second fight runner wins. When clearly oscar did more that Thurman did and still lost. I guess my issue is more what the judges are seeing and I know the politics in boxing are pretty high.
Yea that's kinda where in at. I just don't want him to start out a pro losing. We went to watch amatuar boxing in Fresno and one dude was like 39 years old but he got schooled by a 21 year old. And the young kids fights are just slugging it out for two minutes three rounds it's insane
He's 19 and been training since 17 in California in the Central Valley that's the area we signed up for. It covers Fresno and up to Sacramento. He has power and decent jab and likes to attack fast. But he takes hits. Trainer always on him about keeping his hands up. Chin pretty strong. Spars with title 16oz and 14oz .
He talks in that third person attitude but he always like you said thought he was something big when he wasn't and Elmer Fudd put him in his place at his own press conference
I agree . He's just a funny guy to watch because he talks so much trash but then cries when he loses. And always says he gonna retire and this goes way back to when porter nearly knocked him out of the ring. Then he goes and fights Garcia and gets stopped. I would hope he spent his money wisely. He's all about the money. He had stated that many times. But I don't see his heart.
Yea we had a couple pair of everlast and they started breaking at the straps and we used the ringside I got for $85 at dicks sporting goods on clearance but we recently went to title and I found a nice pair online for $90 with laces 16oz so my son has been using them now. And he uses ringside for bag work.
That was more the answer I was waiting to hear. So you think oscar won? I do too. And think Keith won but don't feel the fight was good. Keith did enough to win but champions don't run and it bit oscar in the ass. Granted he should have just stayed in the fight and not listen to his corner tell him that he's already won the fight.
