They also have ringside but those are better for sparring at 16oz the everlast don't last too long I would say the grants or Reyes are probably the best. Cause they last but as for comfort? It's preference . Reyes have hardly nothing to it. Grant seems a little more padded.
I've tried Everlast, Ringside, Reyes, Winning, G&S, Title, and a few off brands. For me, Everlast's top tier offerings are great. Much improved over the last decade in terms of comfort, protection, fit and durability.
One complaint I have is that in recent years I notice glove manufacturers are making their gloves smaller. I can barely squeeze my hands into a pair of 12 Oz. Winning brand, and the new Everlast Elite and C3 gloves are a tad small, and I have average sized hands at 5'10" 185lbs. I think the trend to go smaller may have something to do with more women who are not competing in boxing. Not sure, but there is no doubt that there is less room inside the gloves in the last few years.
Yea we had a couple pair of everlast and they started breaking at the straps and we used the ringside I got for $85 at dicks sporting goods on clearance but we recently went to title and I found a nice pair online for $90 with laces 16oz so my son has been using them now. And he uses ringside for bag work.
Honestly man, save your $ unless you have a lot of it than spend away but some of the best gloves you can buy for daily use are Title Classic boxing gloves for $14.99.
For Sparring though we have Ringside. Real good padding for kids sparring.
EVERLAST it is boxing royalty!!!
Almost everything from Everlast I have bought has fallen apart. Their gear does look nice though, but now I only buy the clothing because that last.
Go to the training section. There's no "best", it's about finding what's comfortable for you, within your budget. I've used some really expensive ($200 to $300) gloves and some where great, others just an awful fit for my hands. No one can really guess what's going to be best for you. You'll have to try them yourself. Don't be afraid to ask people in your gym if you can try theirs on real quick.
