This is a brilliant idea. I'm reading some of the posts and I have to throw my thoughts on this tournament. I think ultimately the winner of this tournament is going to be Kessler Or Arthur Abraham. I think Froch has virtually no chance of winning this tournament I think he is highly over rated (as is the case with most British boxers). Ultimately it's a fantastic idea. The real question in my mind is weather froch is going to go make it past the first round of the tournament. I am not prejudice toward British fighters I just think Ricky Hatton and Froch are in the same league. B- Fighters who have enormous fan bases. Well to say Froch is a B- fighter is probably pushing the bar. His win over Taylor I thought the first time watching it "okay, he faced some serious adversity I have a good amount of respect for him". Then hearing him in the after fight interview he called out Joe Calzaghe. At this point I had to pause the event rewind look the fight over. Froch did not win this fight in fact taylor lost the fight. Everyone knows taylor gassed out then he was prime picking. In my mind the question isn't how many tournament rounds is Froch going to make it threw before he gets stopped. It's going to be in which round is he going to get stopped in the first fight! :hail:

Froch Is Weak.
I'm going to lay down a few things here. First I'd like to point out how terrible Froch looked in the Taylor fight. He was knocked down and outmatched the whole fight. Taylor lost that fight simply on gas. I am not a fan of Hopkins but I know that Hopkins will destroy Froch. Froch also called out Joe Calzaghe, Froch in my opinion shouldn't even be aloud to hold Joe Calzaghes spit bucket after sparing rounds. Froch is a terrible fighter. Any of the champion middle weights will tear him up. The fact that he's getting any media annoys me. For calling out Joe Calzaghe I honestly am looking forward to someone collecting that belt he's been holding on tightly too. Personally I hope Joe Calzaghe comes out of retirement just to give him a real thrashing. I think Lacy had a better chance then Froch has.

I feel like your really sleeping on Pacquiao. I am a hardcore Floyd Mayweather fan, but becoming less of a believer the more I see Pacquiao fight, and the more I see floyd Mayweather fight. Let's break it down
Manny Pacquiao has fought two fighters mayweather has obviously ducked.
1. Miguel Cotto
2. Antonio Margarito.
When I break down Mayweather and Pacquiao I see this -
Mayweather doesn't hit hard enough to make Pacquiao respect his power. The type of fighters Mayweather has had the most trouble with in his carer are Volume punchers (Jose Luis castillo) and speed fighters (Zab Juddah).
Pacquiao is a larger volume puncher then Jose Louis Castillo, the major differences in Jose's and Pacquiao's volume is this, Pacquiao hits harder then Jose Luis, and he is much more of an educated Volume puncher. He has much more technical skill then Jose Luis Castillo , and he throws more.
Pacquiao is also noticeably faster then Zab, but more importantly he has discipline. He's not going to just quit his game plan as soon as he gets hit a few times.
Mayweather is also the perfect opponent for Pacquiao because he is probably the greatest counter puncher of all time. Pacquiao has had the most trouble with Marquez, but that was a totally different Pacquiao. He's become stronger at higher weight classes and his right hand has visibly become greater now then it was when he fought Marquez.
The real fact of the matter is, Pacquiao has a higher chance of actually taking this fight because of the type of person he is. He will actually fight people that can possibly beat him. Floyd is the complete opposite. Floyd will at best take a fight when it is close (I stress the word close) to being an even fight.
Pacquaio would get Ko'd at 154 against martinez. This is true, I'm not detesting that, but Mayweather wont even take that fight. If he did, I believe he would lose via unanimous decision. I believe that he would ultimately take flight in the ring and finish the twelve rounds no matter how much the crowed boo's or how bad for boxing that would be.
Berto Goes down in the 9th
I would like to see a Maidana Vs Bradley and I have a feeling that, that fight will be next for Bradley. I say this because Bradley wants big money and what better way then to add someone like Maidana to your list of felled opponents. Will this be the case if Maidana and Bradley fight? I don't think Bradley would pull that one off, but that's another story all together.
Berto Vs. Bradley would be an interesting match up. I however, feel that Berto is a highly overrated fighter. I think in his last fight he was fighting someone who didn't have a drive to win. Quintana fighting Berto was not the same fighter as Quintana fighting Williams. When Quintana fought Williams he actually had a game plan and looked in shape. When he fought Quintana he looked like he didn't even really care about the fight. He even looked some what drained to me. It looked like Quintana was interested in a last "**** you" paid day fight in boxing. Although Berto stopped Quintana he did not look impressive. I will blame some of that on the fact that he was inactive due to the earth quake in Haiti, and the tragic news about his family members, but I'm going to blame the grunt of Berto's lack luster performance (past and present) on his bad stamina. I also would like to point out that I think Berto lost his fight to Luis Collazo. I think he is powerful in spurs, and then he tires out. Collazo made the blue print on how to beat Berto. I feel Timothy Bradley will be able to capitalize on Bertos awful stamina. I feel he'll wear him out, and eventually break his will. Get the late stoppage. Bradley in 9.

He should issue a public statement appologizing to Joe Calzaghe for ever making statements like he'd win a fight if they ever fought. To say that he wasn't at his best is ridiculous. Mayweather Vs. The World.
Floyd "Money" Mayweather preformed beautifully last night against Mosley. Having seen that, I really doubt there's anybody that can beat him, I will break down the fighters. Paul Williams is (in my opinion) one of the easiest fight's Mayweather can take. Paul Williams throws enough punches to get countered often, Floyd (as we have seen in the past fights such as the Baldamir fight) Can move a twelve round fight, His cardio is unbelievable. He punches with perfect timing and throws of fighters from even building up any momentum. We have seen this in the fight last night with Mosley. Round Two Mosley had Floyd genuinely hurt, but sure enough in round three Floyd adjusted and threw Mosley out of his game by being aggreasive when he is known to "run" In reality Sergio has the best chance because of his foot speed but I think sure enough Mayweather will Adjust and start to put on a schooling. Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather is the real toss up because Manny throws a lot of punches but unlike Paul Williams, he throws educated punches. He also has Tyson style head movement and is in an out. I see that throwing off Floyd. I see Floyd winning this fight, and to be bolder I see this happening by Knockout. I feel Floyd will knock him out because of Pacquiaos courage. When Pacquiao see's his strategy isn't working I feel he will become desperate, leaving himself open to counter punches and this will only drive him more to make even more mistakes.
