The guy had better tools than Trinidad. In terms of acomplishments it should be like this: Trinidad, Gomez, Benitez. And if we go on who had better skills should be: Benitez, Gomez, Trinidad. So at the end he was the best all around fighter. Sadly, like Camacho and Rosario after him, he threw his career away using drugs and not training properly. I give mad props to Salvador Sanchez, R.I.P champ. Saludos desde Puerto Rico!
Finally, respectfull and educated. Hermano, i still go for gomez, benitez, tito. Puerto Rico has great fighters!
Thks man! How about Mexican fighters? How you rank top 3? I know Chavez and Sanchez are top 2, but who you got on 3rd spot?
And now i have #1 Sanchez,Chavez, Lopez LOL
LOL! Even Puerto Ricans dont agree in that one. Both legends, I think Sanchez had an edge on skills(of course from a PR point of view) thats the main thing I heard here in PR, its sad what happened to him.

Upsss I wanted to say we dont agree on whos #1 in Mexico, my bad.
I THINK THIS SHIT EXPLOTE WHEN HIS FATHER TURN INTO HIS MANAGER... evangelista was making good money with miguel... as a manager/trainer.
now he was only the trainer.. i think the whole shit started with that
Thats a good point. Thinking about it, it really could be.
Im killing myself right now with these fatasy matchups I keep envisioning. Gomez vs. Vazquez! Good God! What do you guys think? Who wins in this all out, action, bloodbath, knockdown, knockout, barnburning fight?
Gomez by ko. At 122 he was invencible.
I have seen slick boxers from time to time. But like Calderon, none. The guy is so hard to hit, no wonder why no one wants to unify with him. Its bad that there arent too many fights of him on youtube. Great footwork, great reflexes, great handspeed. I know those are things Mayweather do very well but to me (and here's my very humble opinion) Calderon takes it to another level.
calderons opposition <<<<<<<<< floyd's.....and he still gets dropped and struggles with journeymen, lol.....................
True, a journeymen that has 6 inches of height difference
All who believe that Shane would have won the fight clearly said that because of Trinidad's losses against B Hop and Wright. At 147 Tito was another thing, he was agressive he even had decent footwork. If people want to make their opinions based on Trinidad's losses well, i will take Vernon Forrest fight. Shane was outmuscled by a bigger stronger guy. Vernon Forrest wasnt the finisher that Tito was. Tito was quicker and had a lot of power. Tito by stoppage on later rounds.
I like that idea for Cotto.
But in the long run, I don't know how I would feel about Cotto vs Sergio Martinez or Paul Williams. I can't envision a happy cotto ending in either of those fights.
Yeah, I have to agree, he can beat foreman, lets say by decision, but I dont see him beating Martinez or Williams at 154.
plus he barely got past collazo... even hatton knocked down collazo... C'MON!!!
Then when will Berto step up? Its now or never. Im tired of see him fight bums. Collazo did a great job, now he needs to fight an elite fighter.
