Is this a joke?? Bernard is levels ahead of Joe C, just look at there resume's there's no comparison. And for the record I thought Bernard beat Calzaghe, he dropped him early he just wasn't active enough. All Calzaghe did was land a bunch of pitty pat bs the whole night, then he retires lol cause he's trying to protect his record and avoid a rematch with Bernard.
First Broner hands down!!! I was never so happy to see a fighter lose before, as soon as the fight was announced I told everyone Broner is about to lose. The reason why I really loved this fight is because it exposed Broner for the COWARD and FRAUD that he is!!! I loved seeing him get beat down like a stepchild, I loved seeing him roll around the floor like a little *****, and the fact that he ran out the ring like a girl and didn't even have the decency to grant an interview after the fight was the icing on the cake!!! He will NEVER be able to live that down...a coward dies a thousand deaths and he deserves everyone of them.
Second Prince Naseem, I thoroughly enjoyed watching this fraud get beat down and exposed. It looked like he was gonna cry during the fight, man that fight was a clinic and a retirement party.
Actually Broner and Hamed have alot in common both were flashy big mouth frauds who were overhyped and exposed. The sweet science is a beautiful thing and we don't need trash like Broner or Hamed to be embassadors for our sport.
I also loved the performance that Hopkins put on Trinidad, man did he expose him and make him look like a basic fighter. That just stopped the whole tito train and he actually retired after the fight. Also love how Rigendaux exposed that overrated donaire and had him lookin foolish the whole night.
The Ghost would get destroyed and they know it. Robert likes to brawl. Those blows that Oriental fella landed on the Ghost would have ended his night had it been One Time.
I feel you and Thurman is one of my favorite fighters, but his defense is suspect and he drops his hands too much which is why he gets hit. Guerrero is a pressure fighter who can take punches and has power, I personally think that fight would be really close because of the style match ups.
Keith Thurman will continue to be one of the most avoided men in boxing. At this point he is too much of a Risk and not enough of a Reward, I gotta give it to Shawn Porter though he seems like he genuinely wants to make that fight happen. For the record I think Thurman vs Guerrero would be a war, but Thurman would make easy work of Devon Alexander.
It'll never happen...Now a days with such a big focus on concussions they will never add another 3 rds. Just look at American football they're so focused on injuries and concussions that they're changing all the rules, at this rate in another 15yrs football may be a non contact sport
He was undisputed champ and avenged both losses. He was past his prime and still beat Vitali.
True but an all time top 10 hw has no business getting ko'd by journeyman like Rahman or Mcall in his prime, and the way he retired after klitchko made it appear that he would rather retire than risk losing in a rematch.
I think Mike should be there around 9 or 10. I think it goes Ali, Louis, Lennox, Foreman, are top four heavyweights all time. Then Norton, Holmes should be there after them maybe Evander Holyfield after that
I respect everyones opinion but I just don't see Lennox as a top 10 HW, not after the way he lost to Mcall and Rahman in his PRIME, and the way in which he retired after that klitchko fight was bogus as well.
I honestly feel we never got to see the best of Mike, when Cus died Mike was still learning the science and was still a raw talent. After Cus died Mike should have never left Kevin Rooney cause when he joined Don King that was the beginning of the end. Never have I ever seen a "PROMOTER" control every aspect of a fighters life from business to personal, I feel as though Don King robbed us of one the great talents in boxing history. The most important thing for a boxer to have is focus, and clearly Mike wasn't focused when he was with King. Say what you want about Mike but he was an exceptional talent and I really don't see a problem with him being on a top 10 hw list, but I can also see why people wouldn't have him on there list.
Has no business? It's heavyweight boxing, anything can happen. Speaking on that, Vitali was a last minute replacement for the fight and he did have a good showing but he wasn't there yet, he got horribly cut and the fight was over.
True anything can happen in boxing as you always have a punchers chance, but lennox chin was always suspect to me. And if Vitali was indeed a last minute replacement then why not prepare for him and prove that it was a fluke by beating him in a rematch? By retiring after the fight you create more doubt than anything. Also when he fought Holyfield and Tyson they were well past their prime and I truly believe that the results would have been different had he faced them in their primes. There is no denying that Lennox had an exceptional skill set for a hw, but throughout his career he left many doubts for me and I feel like everytime he was on the verge of greatness he did something questionable(Mcall, Rahman, Klitchko).
I've seen Floyd fight 3 times in Vegas, the weigh in is free so the earlier u get there the better. I've never been to the press conference but u might need a press pass, and I have never been to his gym either so I can't say.
Levi Martinez, is that you, LOL
LOL nah but I really had no problem with his card, I had it 116-112 and a lot of rds were close so I could see that. The real travesty would have been if they gave that fight to Lara the track star...he'll probably win the gold medal in the 4 x 400m relays lol
Even at the time I knew B-Hop was gonna school him. The fight was at 170, and Hopkins has that inside style when he wants to nullify your power.
After how awesome he looked against Tarver, I knew his size mixed with his craftiness would've been too much for Pavlik. There was a reason why B-Hop made him move up like that.
YESSIR so did I, that was easy to see coming...I called that and cashed that ticket at +270 free money
If there wasn't bad blood between the promoters, the fight would have been made.
Not really OG keep in mind Cotto just recently upset Martinez and Canelo just beat Lara. Give em some time this fight will happen
What he did to Trinidad was masterful. Forget the retroactive "Tito was a blown up WW" bullsh*t, I remember that MW tourney like it happened yesterday. It was set up specifically to crown Tito, and he was supposed to blow through Hopkins.
I had so many depressed Puerto Rican friends the following week.
LMAO true story the Tito fans went into hiding and developed clinical depression after that fight(and they used to talk SO much)...Remember that MW tournament damn u bringing back memories. B Hop probably made Don King lose out on 100 mil when he executed Tito, stopped all that Tito vs RJJ money, and forced Tito into retirement. Don King probably has nightmares about B Hop when he sleeps lol
That sig is one of my favorite boxing techniques I've ever seen displayed by a world class fighter.
Check my username.
B-Hop is the truth.
True story, that was one of the most impressive counter punches I have ever seen.
It's a good thing Roy Jones Jr. retired after beating Tarver.
WTF??? Last time they fought Tarver won a UD, Before that Tarver knocked him out COLD, and the first time they fought Roy got a MD in a fight in which alot of people think he lost.
But Canelo did not do enough to win the rounds. Watch the fight on silent or watch it in a loud place where you can't hear anything. I scored it 9-3 for Lara on Silent, When rewatching, I scored it 8-4 for Lara. So Lara loses rounds for hitting and not getting hit, That makes no sense. This is boxing, not brawling. We like brawls, but if a fighter wants to box, then he can box. As for GGG, He would like to step it up, but those higher level fighters Are Ducking Him. What Choice does GGG Have.
I actually watched the fight 3 times once on showtime, once on mute, and once on the uk broadcast. I had it 8 to 4 Canelo twice and 8 to 3 with one rd even for Canelo once. Lara just wasn't throwing enough punches and was retreating the whole fight, Canelo was the aggressor who landed the harder shots and was coming forward. In a fight with not much action most Judges will score it for the aggressor.
I'm torn between Trinidad, Pavlik, and Tarver. All 3 were extremely impressive performances, especially considering that Bernard was a heavy underdog in all 3 fights. At the time all 3(Trinidad, Pavlik, Tarver) were coming off of Big wins and Bernard just stopped all their momentum. I think I was most impressed by Bernards performance against Tito because he stopped him, almost took his head off of his shoulders, and had him looking like a bobble head doll. The image of Tito's corner stepping in and waiving the white flag is PRICELESS!!!
Lara got Robbed. Canelo did not earn a shot at the Middleweight champion. GGG did, GGG has the champs running from him, it is not his fault. GGG should get the fight. Then Canelo's hypejob ass can meet his doom vs Golovkin. Golovkin paints canelo's face the color of his hair. If Canelo vs Cotto does happen. Canelo wins by KO RD 1 because Canelo wins the same way Lara beat Angulo by, A punch to the eye.
Nah man I gotta disagree, Lara ran the whole night and did not stand and engage enough, he was his own worst enemy. Its one thing to stick n move or to box and engage, but what Lara did was disgraceful he retreated the WHOLE fight and he will never get another ppv fight because of it. GGG needs to step up his level of opposition, Canelo has more impressive names under his belt. I do agree with you though regarding Canelo vs Cotto, I think Canelo stops him.
Canelo and Cotto will definitely fight. Simply put Money Talks and there is too much money involved not to make it happen, and there is no bad blood between the fighters or their promoters.
Sturm vs DLH...Sturm beat up DLH and schooled him the whole fight only to get jobbed by the judges
Whittaker vs Chavez...Sweet Pea put a clinic on Chavez and took him to boxing school 101 only to be robbed by the judges when the fight was called a draw
Didn't mean to offend anyone by the title I've actually paid to see Chico fight twice, Gatti is another true warrior that I tip my hat to as well, my point being that if Floyd can stop 2 great warriors than it speaks volumes about him as a fighter. Never once did I disrespect either fighter, I actually feel privileged that I got the chance to see Corales fight in person.
1. Muhammad Ali
2. Joe Louis
3. Jack Johnson
4. George Foreman
5. Larry Holmes
6. Jack Dempsey
7. Joe Frazier
8. Evander Holyfield
9. Rocky Marciano
10. Mike Tyson
14 to 1 is just crazy, Algeri has nothing to lose and everything to gain, he is not scared, he knows how to box well and use the jab, he has good foot movement, and he has the height and reach advantage. All that being said Pac should be a heavy favorite but 14 to 1 is just ridiculous.
You and Lazaron are nothing but butt hurt Rigo fans. So butt hurt still that Donaire has moved on after his loss to Rigo and is now a feather champ while your idol is still in his **** hole waiting for some bums to come along with you Rigo fans clinging to his balls? I just stated three facts. 1. You are nothing but butt hurt Rigo fans. 2. Donaire is now a feather champ while Rigo is still in his **** hole at bantam. 3. You and Lazaron are clinging to his balls.
LMAO ignorance is bliss...First off I am a fan of the sweet science and Rigo is a superb boxer who I have only watched fight 3 times. But its just so funny how you Donaire fans are in denial, face the facts your boy was one of the most overhyped fighters of the past 10yrs, HBO's hyped up puppet. But now when the puppet gets exposed and schooled by Rigo he runs away from a rematch by moving up in weight LOL what a clown. A TRUE champion avenges his defeats NOT avoids them, Donaire is nothing but a paper champion who went from top 5 p4p(never on my list) to top 100 LOL
