Trinidad
Tito was a great fighter
Punched hard
Lethal left hook
Bernard put on a masterclass
....against a natural welterweight?...he could have pressed him and got him out of there earlier...
tarver
Trinidad was definitely a bigger win but the way schooled Pavlik was my favorite. Naazim kept calling Pavlik a TV fighter. Then the way he went up to Pavlik at the end of the fight and continued the boxing lesson this time with actual words.
What he did to Trinidad was masterful. Forget the retroactive "Tito was a blown up WW" bullsh*t, I remember that MW tourney like it happened yesterday. It was set up specifically to crown Tito, and he was supposed to blow through Hopkins.
I had so many depressed Puerto Rican friends the following week.
LMAO true story the Tito fans went into hiding and developed clinical depression after that fight(and they used to talk SO much)...Remember that MW tournament damn u bringing back memories. B Hop probably made Don King lose out on 100 mil when he executed Tito, stopped all that Tito vs RJJ money, and forced Tito into retirement. Don King probably has nightmares about B Hop when he sleeps lol
the Tito masterpiece is my fav but if you ask me my least fav BHop moment was him throwing down the PR flag and putting himself and his team in a dangerous situation....that was cold and by far the most disrespectful BHop action of all his stunts imo
the first fights with Mercado and Pascal rank second....dropped twice in both fights and mounted a comeback on foreign soil and got a draw in the opponent's backyard only to dismantle and dominate them in the rematches...smh....BHop is amazing...f*cking legendary!!!
I think he'll have to get up off the canvas against Frankenstein as well...I hope not, but I think Frankenstein gonna make it a gully fight early but once BHop get the old man wrinkles ironed out....he'll get the fight under control and take the monster into the deep waters and see if the beast can swim with one of the greatest sharks of all time.....this fight can be a classic

Trinidad tarver pavlik were all awesome ... maybe pavlik was my fav cause calsappy clearly ducked pavlik who looked like a beast at the time and then hopkins took the fight and totally schooled the guy.
That sig is one of my favorite boxing techniques I've ever seen displayed by a world class fighter.

B-Hop is the truth.
True story, that was one of the most impressive counter punches I have ever seen.
Hopkins was given zero chance against Trinidad and he went into the ring and MAULED Tito for 12 rds. it was a drubbing and a bludgeoning and it was awesome. and for that, it is his win over Trinidad that is my favorite performance by Bhop.
funny thing is, Hopkins was considered OLD then! Now look at him!
hahaha, Hopkins is my favorite all time fighter, always has and always will be.
YESSIR so did I, that was easy to see coming...I called that and cashed that ticket at +270 free money

Even at the time I knew B-Hop was gonna school him. The fight was at 170, and Hopkins has that inside style when he wants to nullify your power.
After how awesome he looked against Tarver, I knew his size mixed with his craftiness would've been too much for Pavlik. There was a reason why B-Hop made him move up like that.

I'm torn between Trinidad, Pavlik, and Tarver. All 3 were extremely impressive performances, especially considering that Bernard was a heavy underdog in all 3 fights. At the time all 3(Trinidad, Pavlik, Tarver) were coming off of Big wins and Bernard just stopped all their momentum. I think I was most impressed by Bernards performance against Tito because he stopped him, almost took his head off of his shoulders, and had him looking like a bobble head doll. The image of Tito's corner stepping in and waiving the white flag is PRICELESS!!!
Yea, the way Pavlik terminated Edison Miranda and Jermaine Taylor did it for me. You gotta keep in mind that at the time, Miranda was annointed by many, including Hopkins, as being the next ruler of the MW division.
Pavlik went thru him like a train thru wet paper. On top of that, no one ever did that to Jermaine Taylor or even came close. The closest I've seen Taylor hurt or in fear of losing a fight was when his eye swelled like crazy against Winky Wright. Who was in himself one of the best fighter in the last 5-10 years at the time.
Outside of being dropped early, Pavlik destroyed Taylor. Had Hopkins been any slower on his feet or lost the ability to move, I think Pav would've done the same to Hopkins.
