I knew if Shane didn't finish that round like he did the round vs. Margo that he would lose a wide UD.
Its just suspicious that a fighter with such aggression, who his entire career was a fearless finisher, didn't go for the kill.
So was it age? Inactivity? Overtraining? Or was it something else?
Me....I always question people's motives when business is involved.
he couldn't finish him because floyd didn't let him, even when floyd was rocked he fought back, if he was just standing there and getting all shots that mosley would throw he could get a knockdown but floyd fought back. this is not mosley that didn't want to finish floyd, it's floyd that didn't let him to do that. go and watch once again the 2 round.
LOL. Dela hoya was jumping of madness because he thought mosley forgot their agreement that he would finish floyd and ruin the biggest money fight with pac-floyd but dela hoya's plan was still **** up because floyd will prefer to go on vacation than to fight pac for 50 million dollars.:lol1:
are you crazy? de la hoya face was the most happiest outhere when mosley rocked floyd, go and watch round 2 how he jumps and smiles, the only one who was worried was shaefer, he thought than shane would ruin the mega fight, but he couldn't.
It can only be because of his technical abilities right?
of course, in my opinion he is the best BOXER of this era, pay attention not fighter but boxer.
Yup, coz you have no more bullets left. Your going down with the sinking ship and Floyd is the captain lol
the matter is no in bullets, the matter is that i think i will waste my time by arguing with you
And we all know Floyd avoided Margarito. Just strengthens the facts that he is also the master of avoidance lol. he bets on margo but scared to fight him geez pathetic.. Scared of legit threats. Clear as day.:boxing:
i even won't argue with you, all your threads that i saw you bashing floyd there you had never gave him any credit for his wins, so stay on your opinion.
He probably had money on that fight.
i'm sure 100% it was like you say, it's not secret he bets on fights, he also had money on margo-cotto fight, he put his bet on margo.
oooh ok.. so ask this to yourself why is he going on vacation? Is it coz he loves his family so much? yeah coz money ain't everything right? family first is whats important. And yup he is called money may coz he would rather have a vacation with his family. makes sense to me.
And even if he says it's an easy fight a cakewalk and make him a cool 50 mill he rather take a vacation coz family comes first. Right! Gotcha you. Have a nice vacation yourself. :drive:
family is everything for everybody, i think for you too, but i think it is bull**** argument about the vacation there is something else beside the family that makes him to do so and not you and not me knowing about it only he knows it.
Oh, I thought your not going to reply to any of my post coz it's a waste of time right? Your definitely a Floyd mayweather fan boy. Yours as fickle as Floyd you can't make up your mind. You seem to love to reply to me =) Floyd is like you he seems to be stumped wether he wants to be a fighter or a family man lol :drive:
i just wanted to get some points that's why i replied:boxing:
When Floyd Mayweather had a fight that people felt he lost. He immediately rematch Jose Luis Castillo. He didn't have to give Castillo an immediate rematch. He could of taken that close victory, that some felt he lost, and moved on. Fight somebody else. But, he did what a true champion is suppose to do. He dared to be great and gave Castillo an immediate rematch. Again when he really didn't have to.
Alexander should do the same. Instead of worrying about Bradley and making an issue about 50-50 split when there was never an issue. He should be giving Kotelnik an immediate rematch. Why is he not pushing for this? Why are the fans not really pushing for this?
This what separates true greatness from just being good. It separates the boys for the men. This was why Floyd was considered a HOF'er before becoming "money" while Alexander might just end up being a good fighter from his era but falls short of HOF status.
he would never be like floyd not the same skills, there is no comparison in giving immediate rematch, i not accusing manny for not giving marquez an immediate rematch after their second fight, manny moved up and fought good fighters not less than marquez, so Alexander is taking competition even greater than Kotelnik the guy(Bradley) is the best in this division. so you can't blame him for this, he is taking the toughest fight for him out there. but he will never be like mayweather not the same skills.
:nonono: :pat:
First of all Manny did offer JMM an immedite rematch after the first fight if I am not mistaken. JMM turned to down to take way less money and fight Chris John. Pac also offered JMM a third fight which JMM priced himself out.
Alexander said if Bradley fight can't happen then bring on Ortiz. I seriously can't say that Ortiz is clearly a better tougher opponent than Kotelnik.
So is apples and oranges.
Why bring up Pac?
are you crazy? who told you that bull**** that manny offered marquez the immediate rematch, marquez always repeats in his interviews that he was chasing manny after the first fight.about the third fight i heard that they didn't agree on money split. how you know he priced his self out? maybe manny offered very little amount of money to marquez and marquez refused.
anyway ortiz is tougher than Kotelnik.
All jokes aside, Miguel Cotto is one of this generations finest.
There is so much to pick from for me because almost every time he fights its a great night of boxing that ends up being memorable, dramatic, or flat out legendary.
My personal picks include the Torres fight, the Corley fight, the Malignaggi destruction, the Quintana destruction, the Judah battle, the Margarito Masterpiece, and believe it or not, I thoroughly enjoyed the Pac fight.
Honorable mentions go to the Kelson Pinto grudge match, the Abdullaev revenge and the way he broke Gianluca Branco's arm with punches will always hold a special place in my heart.
Oh and yeah, lest I forget, the way he sonned Alfonso Gomez was ****ing priceless.
Here is a great video from one of BS's finest The Bringer on the greatness of Cotto.
Lets circle jerk it.
the margarito fight is the best, despite of that he lost there, but we all know cotto would win that fight if cheato wasn't cheating
If Manny's dad didnt eat his dog, he wouldnt be boxing or at least thats what Freddie Roach said in the video i posted below. Is that racist too?? People just love to hate Floyd, he was trashtalking people, not that serious.
5:30 Freddie tells the dog story, and laughs. is the mainstream media going to be upset about this too??
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tqp7BC8Q0JM
people here love to hate floyd that's why this case got a such a "big deal".
24 hours a day searching about Floyd.
i wonder how dumb people can be no more words stupid thread. bring up the names of the guys who beat him when he was 10.
Puerto Rico will take another blow this year when an old ass Rafael Marquez who's two weight classes above from his prime division beats his eyebrow plucking ass all night long. Juan Ma is nothing but hype. All my points that Rafael gets the upset.
Raphael is old already, Juanma is young, i think Juanma stopes him in round 8.
Hey at least Arum let's us know something, if he didn't say shit we wouldn't have any news at all. He's just trying to keep the hype going for the fight.
no he just wants to be the good guy that shares the information of negotiations with fans, but in for real he just secure his self if fight falls apart blame floyd for this, we told you how the negotiations going and we sent the contract to floyd and if he rejects the deal he doesn't want to fight manny, we are clean here, it's floyd who you must blame, he secures his self that old bastard play games with floyd on media, he thinks it will affect him but he doesn't understand that floyd don't give a shit about his games in media, if fight falls apart blame arum, not manny but arum cuz it was an agreement not to share the information with media it must be confedential, but we see what arum did, so don't blame floyd if fight falls apart.
I've also heard Zab Judah say the same thing. Someone ask him if he thinks Manny is on steroids and Zab said that's the dumbest sh1t he has ever heard, and that Manny isn't on steroids.
maybe zab judah thought he will get the fight with pac after this, but i've never seen that fighter would box after round 8 or 9 like he was boxing in round 2 or 3, especially with pacquaio style that he throws punches in bunches. i can't say he uses some kind of steroids but something is fishy here.
Its amazing that he dominates Marg. Then EVERY poster on this site except like 5 people pick Mosley to KO Berto and now Mosley mysteriously aged 10 years when Floyd whoops his ass.
+ 100 buddy
LOL Floyd might as well cry now if he is really retiring. cause the media will crucify to no end for that bitch move.
believe me he doesn't give a ****, for what media will say about him.
Fighting Shane at 38 years old is a lot safer than fighting Shane at 32-34 years old.
Old, Over-trained, Ring rusted. I'd say he made a safe bet.
all of you pac fans said before the fight even get signed that floyd would never ever fight shane mosley, and if the fight gets signed and he wins mosley, you will give him the credit for this, but like floyd said before the fight " when i will beat shane all the haters would say that he was over the hill and he is old and etc". i just want you to be objective, i respect manny as a fighter he is a great fighter, floyd is great boxer. i would like to see this match up. believe me no one scares of no one, they are elite fighters and all that matters here is MONEY.
Floyd doesn't care about the fans or his legacy.
He doesn't even care about making 40million with Pac.
All he cares about is keeping his 0.
if he was thinking not to lose his 0, he wouldn't fight shane. there is something different in this case, i don't know why he said this, maybe he lies to draw the attention of media to him in light of pacquaio recieving his award, i don't know but something fishy here.
I give him credit for winning, but the facts are the facts.
It's becoming too much of a coincidence that whenever a division gets heated (WW division circa 2007-2009) or a particular fighter in his prime calls out Floyd (Margarito/Cotto), Floyd takes a break.
There's a pattern here.
This retirement thing is no coincidence.
let's just wait and see, if he really retires or it's bluff.
That's what I was thinking,"Something fishy here".The sincerity of it doubtful.
Either Floyd Mayweather is BITTER or just want to steal Pacquiao's thunder.
i think so too, but we can't be sure only he and god knows what's going in his head.
definitely.......4 out of one...and the one has a reputation of avoiding fights that fans wana see the most....you know thats why he is mainly criticized......!
i will tell you why he is criticized not because he is avoiding to fight someone this bullshit is arum's invention, but because of his tounge, he speaks too much, there is some truth and there is some bullshit too, that is the main reason why people hate him.
the story of floyd dogging fights is invention of arum and it started from floyd not wanting to fight margo, so many people jumped onto this bandwagon and it reached the peak at the end of 2007 when floyd retired after fight with hatton, cuz he didn't fought cotto, mosley, margo. there was one legitimate threat for floyd from three of them on that time and it was cotto but cotto never showed his desire to fight floyd like hatton let's say, hatton called floyd out after the castillo bout, did you hear cotto calling floyd out? in every interview when he was asked about potential fight with floyd he told that i let my promoter to consider who i will fight? isn't it like this?
no matter what they do , they cannot beat me, because im not gonna fight em- floyd mayweather
he fought with everyone that people wanted and you know that, beside Margarito that doesn't mean a shit and doesn't bring to the table nothing, every other star got the fight with floyd, so don't say like he ducked them.
