Who Was More Shot Morales vs. Pac 2,3 Or Mosley vs. Mayweather

Shane Mosley was coming off a KO win over Margarito, who Pacquiao would eventually fight for some reason. Erik Morales was ruined by Zahir Raheem. He was not the same after that fight.

Morales. How can you be shot when you're the #3 p4p fighter at the time, super champ, and #1 ranked WW? Mosley was coming off an impressive win while Morales was school by Rahim in 12 rounds.

Morales looked like he didn't have any legs right from the start of the 3rd fight. Shane at least looked like he had some strength vs Mayweather, but was left nervous and confused at Mayweather's speed and ability.

People are overrating Mosley "gassing out". He was out-fought and out-thought. He was clueless and left trying to think how to land something on Mayweather, as Marquez was. Mosley came off a devastating KO win in a fight that he was a 4-1 underdog against a guy everyone believed could KO Shane, whilst Morales came off a one sided defeat before his 2nd fight with Pacquiao...come on the answer lies in those facts alone. Everyone WANTED and DEMANDED Mayweather take the Mosley fight whereas the Pacquiao v Morales 3rd fight at least was pointless.

EK. Erik was already shot in their first fight when he schooled Pac. Erik lost to Zahir Raheem and was weight drained against Pac in their rematch and 3rd fight. Mosley can still beat WWs and some guys at 154.

A lot of Mexican fighters careers are cut short because of the wars they get in.

I love all the Flomo talk about Morales being so shot in the 2nd and third Pacquiao fights, but not the first. Meanwhile, the dude was 30, while Shane Mosley is 39 and been in just as many wars as Morales. mosley - 39 yrs. old morales - 29-30 yrs. old mosley - 52 fights morales - 51-52 fights mosley - 13 yrs. pro morales - 13 yrs. pro pretty close i say. Don't even need to go by that, just look at the fighter, if he looks slower, or worse or just plain helpless compared to his prime he is shot. Not really a particular formula, just look at the fighter is he as good as he had consistently been, answer? No.
