All jokes aside, Miguel Cotto is one of this generations finest.
There is so much to pick from for me because almost every time he fights its a great night of boxing that ends up being memorable, dramatic, or flat out legendary.
My personal picks include the Torres fight, the Corley fight, the Malignaggi destruction, the Quintana destruction, the Judah battle, the Margarito Masterpiece, and believe it or not, I thoroughly enjoyed the Pac fight.
Honorable mentions go to the Kelson Pinto grudge match, the Abdullaev revenge and the way he broke Gianluca Branco's arm with punches will always hold a special place in my heart.
Oh and yeah, lest I forget, the way he sonned Alfonso Gomez was ****ing priceless.
Here is a great video from one of BS's finest The Bringer on the greatness of Cotto.
Lets circle jerk it.
Well Cotto vs Kelson Pinto was the first fight i saw of Cotto..But my most memorable bits of Cotto...the First 4 rounds vs Pacquiao!! Great action..even though he got floored twice he still did a freat job against Pac in those 4 but i was very impressed with the Zab Judah fight
It would have to be the Mosley fight just because it was such a big fight. A lot of people were counting Cotto out as a one dimensional brawler. Outboxing Mosley was just not on the radar. No one expected him to take Shane's best punch either.
It's not his most entertaining fight. Those would be Corely, Pinto, Margarito, Judah, Torres. All of those fights are memorable to me for one thing or another.
I don't think I could watch the Cotto-Torres fight without getting teary-eyed..me and my dad watched this fight live and our "Castillo-Corrales" type of excitement toward this fight is one to remember for the ages!..my old mans favorite Cotto fight by far..RIP Pops..
With that said..mine is Cotto-Pinto, Cotto-Torres, Cotto-Judah, Cotto-Mosley, Cotto-Margarito
And finally the last Boxing even I watched with my Dad...Cotto-Foreman...
**Edit**
Can't forget Cotto-Clottey.. My first and only Boxing event experience live..so far..MSG was nuts!!..
I enjoyed watching all of his fights, but the one that stands out in my mind is his fight against Sosa..He's was moving up in the ranks and was presented with a good test. He went on to beat Sosa convincely, who had gone 12 rounds with Mayweather, prior to facing Cotto..
Mosley fight was his finest hour.
While it was a tight fight, it was like a high speed chess match and that's really where Miguel was able to show his versatility on a grand stage for the first time.
I can watch that fight at any moment. Such an underrated fight.
Agree, it was one of the best fights between the main players at 147, to me it was a close hard fight. While Cotto was fresher and fleet footed, Shane still took his punches and hit him hard. It's a great fight, I wanted that rematch so bad. I think Shane and Cotto would be better off had they faced each other instead they both had less than pleasing outings.
Unfortunately, the Cotto fight that's most memorable to me was the Margarito fight. And Pacquiao comes second.
In a fight he that won, I would say Torres. I thought for a second that Torres was gonna pull of the upset. I was impressed with how Cotto handled Torres who was faster and more powerful than him.
Have you newbies seen the Bailey fight?
Bailey fight > Margarito and Pac fight
In what possible way??
Cotto dominated Bailey.
In the Margarito fight it was tense from round 1 until the very end of that fight, not too mention the significance and attention that fight had, and it actually exceeded expectations.. not too mention Cotto's first loss... Cotto Marg was epic.
Have you newbies seen the Bailey fight?
Bailey fight > Margarito and Pac fight
Yeah but the Bailey fight didnt have the significance that the Pac and Margs fights had. I would pick the Torres fight if it was just based off pure action.
The Margarito fight is the most memorable. It was an "edge of your seat" fight and I've probably watched that fight more than any other fights in my collection. All of his fights are pretty memorable, he's never in a dull fight.

Most memorable would be vs Pac...the losses always stand out more, as well as the tough fights. But an honorable mention, Cotto vs Cesar Bazan. This was Cotto's 1st title win, i believe, it was the ibf international title, yeah I know it means jack sh*t, but it was really the beginning of the champion Miguel Cotto became. Sometime late in the fight, Bazan's corner turns to him and tells him to 'keep going, you're beating this guy!' And Bazan almost laughs at his people like, 'are you serious, he's been kicking my ass all night' I thought it was f*cking hilarious.
