    Here is my summary

    Top Dog vs Top Dog
    MMA match= MMA fighter wins 9/10
    Boxing match= hmmmm...Boxer wins 9.5/10??

    Money---Boxing (Boxing been around forever)

    Excitment---- I will give it to MMA (although both sports got their share of boring matches)

    Brutality= MMA
    "Polishness"= Boxing

    More popular currently----MMA

    Better PPV-- MMA.
    Boxing got a few big ppvs a year with big names, but MMA ppvs and are frequent and their cards are better overall. (i know many people will disagree)

    Easier to master--- Both are tough sports

    Fitter Fighters-- Might give it to boxers....

    Worse for the head--- boxing
    The top dog in boxing would win 10/10 times don't be silly, an mma fighter has no chance what so ever against a boxer in boxing, but a boxer a slight chance against most mma fighters in mma. 9.5/10 are you serious? If a top mma fighter fights a top boxer 20 times in boxing, he wouldn't win once that is ridiculous. Bottom line is that a boxer has a way way way higher chance in an mma match than an mma fighter in any boxing match. I wouldn't be surprised if most of these mma guys got tooled by amateur boxers. Oh and BTW MMA is not even close to as popular as boxing world wide.

      LOL! I know that... but i just wanted to give somewhat of a chance to the MMA fighter you know what I'm saying.....

      as for which is currently more popular...... it is up for debate. It really depends on where you are. In mexico, it will definitely be boxing..... for other countries it might not be. I guess i will stop here... hehe

        Exactly, boxing lost a lot of fans in the USA but gained more fans in Europe.

          Boxing is def more popular,
          MMa is only popular in the states with young white males. Boxing also requires way, way more skill because it is one dimensional, in doing so you have to be better than the other opponent at the same thing. Requires extreme skill.

          I agree though, an MMA fighter has 0 chance vs the best boxer in a boxing match, 0 chance - not even half a chance.

            That's a ******ed statement. I think another person I heard say that was Lou Dibella and isn't correct at all.

            MMA is VASTLY popular in Japan, Canada and is growing rapidly in the UK.

            I guess regulars who attend UFC events like Jason Statham, Mike Tyson, Michael Clarke Duncan, Ken Griffey Jr, Barry Bonds, Wayne Gretzky, Shaquille O'neal, Paul Walker, Jaime Presley, are all young white males and "rednecks"

            You are saying that the entire fan base is Caucasian? You are an idiot

              based on my demographic area, mmgay is worshipped by redneck tapout wearing **** with a few asians in the mix. Majority if not entirely of the boxing culture are dominated by humble african americans, mexicans, minorites in general.

              your statement of the popularity of mmgay in japan is also invalid, Japanese boxing is one that is as pervasive as it is in the vegas culture here in the states.

              and dont even pull **** of your ass by saying mmgay is anything as remotely worshipped by the euros, no not for another dozen decades or so, until the population of europe degrades to the rednecks that we see in the states today, until then mmgay will take a backseat to the greatest sport in the world.

                • You're just a blind hater that can't accept the fact that MMA is growing in popularity.

                  If Mike Tyson can appreciate MMA of all people, then what the **** is your problem?

                  You know I hardly ever talk **** over the internet. But I hope to God I see you cross paths with a person that trains MMA one day and you call them a *** and see what happens to you.

                    insecurity...they can't swallow that there's another combat sport around that's turning heads. As a result, out of fear most likely, they feel the need to attack it.

                      It's actually pretty pathetic. Most MMA fans started out as boxing fans and some (including me) still are.
