watch the floyd/hatton fight and count how many times they clinched
that's how many times any top UFC fighter would destroy floyd
That's because Floyd chose to let it happen, he wanted to fight Hatton's fight at times. Floyd ain't ******, he'll make the adjustments he would need to make if he were to jump in the cage.
How many times have you seen a top-rated wrestler simply walk-in to Liddell straights time and time again? There was no need for Liddell to use his "world-famous sprawl" in many of his fights.
Chuck Lidell isn't even a great striker, yet, he made himself look like the second coming of Ali against these f**kin' world-class wrestlers, by simply taking a step back and taking them out with a straight punch. ASK Tito, ASK Couture, and so on and so on..... Liddell made it look so f**kin' easy, you gonna tell me Floyd can't do the same?
Umm, you missed the part where GSP had to actually strike his way in against BJ. GSP is an exception to the rule, he's actually a stand-up fighter first, ground guy second, even though he does pretty d*mn good with both aspects.
Unlike many wrestlers in MMA, GSP understands striking, the rest f**kin' don't.
I take it you missed the Tyson Griffin vs. Sherk fight?
Liddell, Sherk, Griffin, Rampage, Faber, Brown, Edgar, Koscheck, Couture, Evans, Guillard, Kid, Alvarez, Jones, Kawajiri, JZ, Varner, Benavidez, and a whole bunch more are all very good wrestlers, but on top of that they all have a good striking game. Trying to say that Floyd could beat Sherk because BJ outboxed him would be like saying MMA fighter A would beat Boxer B because Boxer C beat Boxer B by using the clinch to open a body shot...
lol yea but GSP was much bigger than BJ penn, and as far as boxing goes bj still isnt that great, GSP is probably better than him.
GSP's more well rounded, i wouldn't say he's a better boxer though. I think their first fight showed that. Who knows though, GSP spent minimal time striking with Penn in their second fight.

And you wonder why they decided to stand up with Liddell? Why waste energy trying to take someone down when you know it's probably not gonna happen, so might at well try to beat em on the feet. If not then at least try to keep it standing enough to open the takedown. Same reasoning as to why Sherk stood up with BJ for 3 rounds.
Mayweather wouldnt beat a ufc fighter at mma, thats pretty obvious, Just like the mma fighter wouldnt beat mayweather at boxing.. That makes sense to me
Also, if Tim Sylvia will continue to be talked about in this long dumbass debate of MMA vs Boxing. Then let me show you this...
Super Heavyweight boxing champion vs Lightweight MMA champion..... WOW.... WTF.
ps.. Genki FTW. Too bad he is retired.
You're a ****ing idiot. how is that a fair comparison at all? Tim Sylvia was ranked Number 8 by most sites and got demolished in 9 seconds. Butterbean was never ranked as highly as Tim whether you like it or not. You should never ever make a comparison on anything ever again
So every striker in MMA just throws arm punches and has no power? Nice.
I guarantee Rampage Jackson and Shane Carwin have more KO power than almost any boxer
I guarantee they don't. Are you ****ing serious? I guarantee you John Ruiz, and David Haye have better takedowns than any MMA fighter. See how silly you are.

there are many more fights where a pure boxer gets owned. In UFC 1 for example...by royce gracie..
