What did you think of Larry Merchant as a commentator?

I enjoyed how candid he was and how he sometimes didn't give a shit about what he was watching or just plain said fighters ****** or were boring if he felt that way. It was a nice mesh with Lampley who really seemed to be into what he was watching.

Larry was better than 80% of the current commentators.

Merchant is one of the greatest of all time.

Even when he was drunk, he was still better than anyone on ESPN, Showtime or DAZN.

Overrated as fook. I used to cringe after every fight when he'd try to compare some fight we just watched to the book Pride & Prejudice or Shakespeare or some such bs like that. That mofos head was so far up his ass his eyeballs doubled as his prostate.

Was insightful and interesting, but got really cranky and slow as he got older, but that's happens to most of us.
Personally, I don't miss him.
