You clearly are. You obviously have reading comprehension issues too because I never said anything about 5 seconds and everyone already knows Steele stopped the fight. I was referring to your ****** comment about Chavez landing a coma inducing shot if the fight wasn't stopped.Last edited by joseph5620; 01-31-2021, 12:54 AM.Comment

You made absolutely no point; just a sly attempt at dismissing my comment while pretending that you made a comment that was actually intelligent enough to comprehend. Again, you bolded and addressed my comment which had two separate points. You clearly are. You obviously have reading comprehension issues too because I never said anything about 5 seconds and everyone already knows Steele stopped the fight. I was referring to your ****** comment about Chavez landing a coma inducing shot if the fight wasn't stopped.
I assumed we were arguing about the FACTUAL part of my comment. Instead you are now saying you were only addressing my opinion about Chavez getting a coma-inducing shot. Thanks for clearing that up.
Explain to me why you think Taylor was fit to continue when he NEVER let go of the ropes and was unable to respond to Steele after he got right in his face and asked twice in a raised voice "ARE YOU OKAY?" and yet received NO RESPONSE.Comment

Yeah he was, staring past steele? Not sure what you were watching, boxers get KD... If every ref stops the fights at that point then we wouldn’t have certain come backs.Comment

No, Taylor was not unconscious on his feet but he was not all the way there. Taylor adverted his gaze away from Steele after he was asked twice, "ARE YOU OKAY?". Part of that was his corner distracting him but he did not respond to Richard Steele properly which is an obviously indicator of having major cobwebs. The stoppage is inconvenient but reasonable.Comment

Meldrick got run over by a Mack Truck and needed medical assistance, not U runny bowels...Comment

Good stoppage, wether a second or 12 rds left it shouldn't matter he couldn't continue lol he could barely stand and that's with using the help of the ropes, he couldn't even gather his fist together and walk forward to indicate that hes ready to continue, if this would of happened in the first 10 seconds of the fight there wouldn't be an issue cause he wasn't able to indicate that I can continue, now the moment might of gotten to him or his corner was probably yelling at him to just stand that the fight was over, the argument I'm reading of criticism over the stoppage is that there is only a few seconds left also that Steele was bought out by Don King, I that all is irrelevant, dude couldn't even speak lolComment

You know you crazy stroked out mfer. I give you a lot of heat. But I agree with you.
Fact is meldrick prolly should have been given the benefit of the doubt. But he took a serious beating that night that goes unnoticed. And he didn’t react when Steele was questioning him.
I felt bad for him but dude took a beating. They said he pissed blood for multiple days after.
Boxing is serious business and bad calls are made all the time but this is one I think gets way blown out of proportion and the beating he took makes one feel bad he didn’t get the benefit of thr doubt. But it is what it is and I have no issues with the decision. Fact is if that knock down happened a minute earlier Taylor may have never walked out of that ring that night.Comment

Taylor was looking into his corner for instructions after the knockdown. There were like 3 to 4 seconds left. That fight would had finished before Chavez could had landed anything else.
Some will see that fight like an epic comeback and other will see it like a stolen chance to victory.
Richard Steele was booed after this fight for every fight he refereed.Comment

If Steele had finished the count and then let Taylor fight, Chavez would have easily had 5-6 seconds which is absolutely plenty of time. Taylor was certainly distracted by his corner. That does not mean Taylor was very clear-headed. He did not respond to Richard Steele immediately so Steele had no choice but to stop the fight. That was really the key.Taylor was looking into his corner for instructions after the knockdown. There were like 3 to 4 seconds left. That fight would had finished before Chavez could had landed anything else.

You would think any lucid man wanting to keep fighting (we all know that Taylor had balls of steel in the ring) would have acknowledged Steele at that moment regardless of any distractions.Comment
