I agree. You should watch the ending a little more carefully... Taylor was holding onto the ropes the whole time during Steele's count. He was absolutely in no condition to continue. By the way, Steele waved the fight off with 4 to 5 seconds left which was plenty of time for Chavez to landed a coma-inducing shot on a defenseless Taylor. Taylor took a ton of clean single shots all night even though he outworked and outlanded Chavez for most of the fight.
It was Taylor that ended up in hospital with face fractures and pissing blood.
Taylor was being held up by the ropes and couldn't tell the ref that he was ok to go.
Doesn't matter how much time is left, if the fighter looks done then he HAS to stop it.
Great stoppage IMO.Comment

How many times was Steele supposed to ask “are you ok”?Comment

To add, watch the 12th round of Mosley Mayorga. The same exact scenario happened. People saying Taylor should have been allowed to continue don’t believe Chavez could have hit him again. Now back to Mosley Mayorga. The ref allowed Mayorga to continue with five seconds left. Mosley landed a knockout blow get the ko. Chavez would have seriously hurt Taylor more than he already had.You should watch the ending a little more carefully... Taylor was holding onto the ropes the whole time during Steele's count.
