would prefer if this fight was a real fight (not an exhibition), 12 rounds, for Pac's title. i have no interest if this is not the case.

They said that's being considered. Even so, beating Manny Pacquiao in a thumb wrestling match is better for ANY FIGHTERs career.

It's why Crawford, Spence Mikey Garcia, and anyone above 130 want Pacman. He is among the BEST to EVER do it and beating him propels your own career in ways no other opponent could.

As a boxing fan I'd rather 135 playoff tourney/round-robin but I understand if Haney, Loma, Tank, Ryan, or Teo passed up on fighting each other to get Pacman...it's a dream fight. Passing of the torch and makes you the "A" side for YEARS to come.

I'm not the kind of guy who enters these forums to rant about something but my biggest issue with this is:

¿Why does this have to be an exhibition? both are pro boxers, both are top guys in their divisions, why not just make a CW and make it a pro.

I don't see any need to make two pro fighters in good moments of their respective careers fighting in an exhibition bout.

          This is not good.

This are still real fights that can involve knockouts. In fact exhibition fights back in the day can lead to an official sanctioned championship if the lower rated boxer fighting the champion ended up winning or having an extremely competitive fight with the champion.
I don't have a problem with Manny fighting an exhibition, however he has not defended his title since July 2019, and the WBA has yet to determine who is his mandatory challenger either. That's unacceptable! The WBA can give him a title like the WBC did for Mayweather, and let him go about his business. In the meantime, they can order a fight for the "real' Champion. WBA is the worst!

So. Many fighters back in the day used impressive performances in exhibition fights to get a shot at a championship belt or increase their marketability.

As long as this are real fights and not the arranged ones that you see Floyd taking nowadays or another youtube circus fight by amateur boxers like Logan Paul, it is all good.

I don't think the fight will end up lasting 10 rounds anyways. Exhibition or not, this is a real fight and knockouts can happen.

At 140 it might be competitive, but even a 42 year old Pac coming off a 2 year lay off stops him at 147.

manny is giving ryan a mercy bout.. he might murder ryan if it was a real fight. and ofcourse ryan is a lightweight and going up to 147 is a big mistake. manny won't go down to his level no matter what.. unless ryan sacrifice his speed to get to 147. i think this match is good for exhibition fights.. ryan will have nothing to lose if he lose.
