Saul offered 152, Floyd accepted. Or did you forget?

When did being 23 vs a 36 year old stop being an advantage?

S/o OG Teddy for saying nobody said anything about his age until after the fight. & if you peep game it was only his biased fan base that was saying that.

A 36 year old who had retired multiple times and served time in jail!

If Canelo was ever going to beat Floyd it was when he was 23.

Mayweather beat him very easily. He has steadily improved year after year and now 7 years later I think he is great and pfp number 1.

He wasn’t green, he was in his prime at about the same spot as Floyd when he fought Castillo.

He wasn’t like say Ryan Garcia or Devin Haney are right now. That’s for sure.

Wow...if you weren't such an azzhole, you'd know that it was Canelo's team that offered the 152 lb catchweight. Floyd accepted. Maybe it's you that's the b1tch???
"This is business at the end of the day," Ellerbe said. "If he put himself out there like that, we're going to hold his feet to the fire."
Finally, Alvarez said, he did offer to go to 152 so the fight could be finalized.

If current Canelo fought that same Mayweather, the result would have been the same. Floyd is all wrong for Canelo. Too flat footed and too methodical. Floyd feasts on these types of fighters. There's nothing dynamic about Canelo. Point being, he wasn't green. He just wasn't good enough

He was super green. I go back from time to time and watch his old fights and he was TERRIBLE!!!! Lil chunky kid. Had almost zero stamina, defense was sloppy, flat footed and didn't throw neither the combos and body work he puts into today. I wonder without the Floyd loss is this the same HoFamer we see today? I mean go back and watch his Jose Cotto fight....

When the actual negotiations started Canelo wanted 154 but Floyd camp insisted on 152 and Canelo had to abide or no fight.

After years of criticizing catchweights, Floyd could have said let’s fight at 154. But nope.

Let’s not try to twist the truth now.

I mean he didnt really have an amateur career but I agree I think he was pretty close to what he is now. It seems like he needed some ring IQ to put it together and from the looks of it after the fight ge seemed to have learn a lot from that loss
