Hearn: It'll Take Canelo Going Completely Outside Weight Class, Comfort Zone To Get Beat

Yep, that's why all of the Alvarez haters want him to fight Beterbiev. They want him beat and they know that the current crop of boxers around his weigh can't get the job done.

Instead of asking boxers boxing around 160-168 to hone their craft so that they can beat Alvarez...they want him to jump to 175. And if Alvarez beats Beterbiev, it won't stop there, they'll want him to jump to cruiserweight.

I think Canelo gets by Bivol barely or has a very close fight but I think his power would stop Beterbiev and I do not think Beterbiev has the footwork like GGG to stay in front of Canelo nor does he have the hand speed of GGG to land meaningful shots. I have all but given up on Benavidez since he has taken his career half serious. If David can take his future serious then we shall see what happens. The older David gets (late 20's) the harder it will be for him to make 168 and out size his opponents.
Where is this idea coming from that Canelo has such devastating power?

No he wouldn't he'd asked the same question: why is Canelo ducking black fighters?

Let's keep it simple: He'll fight anyone except Beterbiev. He may have won a LHW belt but he never fought The Man and he sure as hell doesn't want to either.

Let's not forget that Lara was black as well.

"He took Sergey Kovalev’s hardest punches without incident"

Did Kovalev throw any of his hardest punches? I don't recall seeing him throw a single punch with bad intent. That's why so many think he threw the fight.

He also never really earned a win over GGG either. At best he earned a draw in the rematch.

Canelo is great in his own right, but let's not blow it out of proportion. And yes, his chin has carried him very far.

Canelo does have an iron chin, and while he's not the greatest of all time, he has some greatness now. He fights with an unhurried calm demeanor, knowing sooner or later he will get to his opponent. It will take an incredibly special effort to beat him now, something like the Floyd masterclass of boxing.

Canelo beating Kirkland, Lara, and Jacobs dont count because they weren't dark enough.

Mikey Garcia beating Broner and Robert Easter (who trains w Spencer) were too dark and therefore not black

Andy Ruiz Jr beat the breaks off Anthony Africa Joshua but he was British black and not the kind of black marvin douglas was talking about

Mexican fighters clearly dont fight black people and when they do...no success...clearly
