British boxing coaches are terrible.

The on time he had some sort of plan that could be seen. Was Crolla pressuring Barroso with his feet and taking everything on the arms and gloves again behind the high guard and eventually letting him punch himself out.

Calum Smith doesnt have any kind of jab to help him compete at world class.

Him beating Groves for me is an absolute anomaly. Right time. Right place.

George beats him 99/100 even a year previous to that fight. Maybe 100/100.

Calum smith is trash luke campbell was world class he proved that in the olympics

Linares was a step ahead of him when they met and loma is an other wordly fighter, granted he was at a weight he doesnt belong at

Smith im with you he would have been disposed of by froch was he still about and probably beaten by degale and groves when they wsre fresher

He just turned up at the right time

American boxing is far more developed than UK in terms of skills. That's no news.

Luke campbell has never proved he was world class in the pros. completely different game.

          Exactly.

I have to laugh at the armchair experts behind their computers thinking they know better.

Luke Campbells offence was predictable after 2 rounds.

Don’t agree at all, the USYK fight wasn’t all that close the SKY biased commentary doesn’t count.

Also Pulev had little trouble with Chisora, iirc Charles was training him then and also bar Chisora who let’s be honest is a tough but not top tier heavyweight who has Charles trained or taken to glory?

Gallagher who I honestly think is an awful coach/trainer has a far better record.

Nobody is saying he doesnt throw any jabs he is active with his lewd.hand generally the argument which is born out in his fights against anyone near the top level is how he cant maintain distance or really have any inclination to do it you can reach back to the fight against the Swede is the super 6. Or even the lickboxer he fought. Or even Rebrasse. Even Blackledge before he knocked him out

Is that it isnt a good jab. It is a range finger.

He is a good puncher to the body and is adept at catching and countering and has power. But it is all relative.

Even against Groves who was finished. It was like Crocodile Dundee.

                  Call that a jab?

                  This is a jab.

Groves is someone who had a good jab.

Smith is famous for his jab. Ah well.

McCraken is one of the best and most respected boxing coaches anywhere on the planet, the ingle gym has produced some world class fighters, as has Adam Booth and his gym and the entire amateur set up is probably the 3rd or 4th best on the planet right now.

Young Shane aint even close to being one of the better ones and in fact, he is a great conditioning coach but knows little about boxing.
I agree with the last paragraph. Luke made no infight adjustment & Garcia’s chin was up there all nights to be knocked off.

Garcia is the real deal,i honestly didnt want him to be because hes a social media fanny and im old school but he is exceptional

Hes the best of the bunch at lightweight and he proved it last night
Garcia showed nothing apart from what we already know. Quick hands & flurries. He’s not the real deal.

Luke was just utter poor & showed no HEART. Tactics was all wrong as well. You’ve a guy with cement feet & zero defence in front of you with better hand speed - what do you need a high guard for when you’re the more mobile boxer with a wide footwork gap?
